Welcome along mate, they are sublime cars and cheap to run compared to equivalent marques. The throttle set up AFAIK is the same as the 172....

Where is the coolant temp sensor located? The car's operating temperature is sweet as a nut, there is no adverse affect other than its appetite for fuel :( I could just change one but with the luck im having of late it'll need two as like i say swapping them over has made no noticeable...

Very likley a misfire very common problem. Things to check > Coil Pack (Pull the HT leads out one by one, this should show which if all are firing) HT Leads themselves Spark Plugs A faulty injector could cause a misfire but is unlikley
