Checkmate on me lol
I think its only because the ph2 looks closer to a non RS than the ph1 did, meaning the the ph1 is easier to tell apart, and me myself i have to admit i usually have to stare for a sec to see if im looking at an RS or non RS.
BUT i really dunt understand why...
yup chap, exactly how mine sounds, in fact i like it as the stainless system i have makes it pop and bang lol
I honestly wouldn't worry, just keep the revs between 2.5 -3k for about 5 mins and it will be fine from then
this is what mine does and my mates 182, and the 1723 he had before, when its cold it runs very lumpy, and at low revs under a bit of load its like an old mini with the choke out is the best way i can describe lol
when you mean cuts, do you mean the car seems to bog down, causing you to chage down to speed up? if so that is a trait of some clio's, mine does it from cold, till its warmed up.
Also if you were at say 70 mph on light throttle on the motorway the coolant can stay under 85 degrees, i travel...
I think an easy way to think is say at 7000 rpm the engine is making 170 bhp, at 7800rpm its making 150 bhp.
with the power and torque dropping with the higher you rev, there wont really be an advantage of being higher up the rev range as the car is desgned to have a usefull spread of power...
hey mark, iv only just noticed, your 'change before i blow up/v-tec y0/opitmum change light (lol) doesn't come on till approx 7700 rpm, does your ecu change the rpm the light comes onj, iirc you have an Rsport ecu?
A fair few mate, not low put it that way, and it is cracking to drive and the noise is amazing!!
the easiest way i can explain it is its like a normal 172 but with more power through the hole rev range, its not like a tuned engine, its like its still n/a, a tiny tiny bit of lag, the noff ya...
Shaun Very kindly let me drive his turbo'd 172 today ( thanks again mate!) and thought id give my thoughts on it, well what can i say, took my breath away!
when driving normally, it feels like a normal 1*2, and when driven a bit harder the noise is fantastic, and good god it goes! It really...
