iv driven a cup packed 182 over a fair few miles and iv done 30,000 miles in mine, 10,000 with prolines on and id say that mine feels more stable when pushing on, but the 182 feels more supple, more forgiving at lower speeds
I would say a decent set of springs ( Eibach Prolines/Sportlines) and decent set of uprated front discs, pads and braided hoses will make the biggest difference to you chap
yeah right there fella, when the oil is operating temp ( normal is usually around 80-90 deg) it is alot thinner, therefore runs out easier. bloody hot on your fingers though if your not used to it (i dont have feeling in my hands any more lol)
everything swaps over mate, even better if you have a car its coming out of, just haul one out, fit the cup lump with the ph1 inlet (for cable throttle) and should be good to go
they could be telling the thruth to an extent, i work in parts for VW and its quite common for the system to show the wrong parts, but to be fair any tech's with half a brain and a tiny bit of product knowledge should have noticed.
