99 quid, way OTT.......ill jsut clean it like normal, it either rains when your done, bird crap on it or you have a long dusty gravel drive to your house and muddly lanes to the gravel path......

the oval plate is jsut that, a stamped peice of tin with the build details of your car on it.
ON MK1 clios its on teh slam panel above the offside headlight, on the MK2s its on teh drivers pillar near the bottom.
It has vehicle codes, colour, build dates, specs, interior specs etc etc...
if you go to ren it will be expensive, if you whack on new ones cause the old ones are warped, new discs and pads will only cost you 70 quid, from ren its probably 200+
use your std rubbers.
Take the old one off by unhooking it and unbolting the cat, there is a gasket there but get some gun gum or fire gum to seal it with on both sides of the old gasket.
whip off the old one, put on the new one. Its a simple task, no need to pay anybody.

why get stuck doing the head/cams etc......you can get stuck without doing that! lol
labour, its not hard to pull off a few bits and bobs then whack on some more parts, building the loom and mapping is the toughy, which you can leave to them. save some dosh.
Dunno where you shop but a more than competant ECU only costs about 500 quid, parts will set you back about 600 for the hardware, plus a bit more for niggles that you will come across, loom etc etc.
Manifold, available form chadil in belgium or technomap in france.....if i remember correctly...
there are the unlucky few who over rev it, touch the limiter, change gear overly fast (its a track day, not a race) brake too hard etc.
You can go just as fast without driving like a rockape........
