16v 0-60 8.6 dont think so!

Could someone pleeeeeease tell max power the proper stats of the 16v. It makes me cringe everytime seeing their stats pages. Vtrs think theyre in with a chance.

saw one once, kitted up astra, 17"s standard engine putting out 150bhp, standard transmission, owners estimate, 0-60 5.6 secs! lol

From what I remember, they give the 19 16v a 0-60 in the low 7s (same engine, heavier car). Go figure... Max sh*te.

the original car I think was 7.7 to 60 and the Williams 7.3 to 60! With 17s on etc this will be slower..............

Not true. The williams was actually quoted a higher 0-60 time by 0.1/0.2s due to its 3rd gear change which slows the car down to 60.

The 16v can reach 62mph in 2nd gear decreasing the 0-60 time unlike the williams.

Im not saying the willy does 0-60 above 7.7 as it doesnt as the 16v figures are quoted between 7.3 - 7.7.

Max Power is indeed sh*te. Just look at some of those Saxos/Novas/Corsas etc you see about with 4 exhausts and a picnic table for a spoiler. That magazines influence has alot to answer for.

8.6 was the RSis 0-60 if i remember correctly.
