I'm 18, one years 'driving experience' , no no claims, renewed in April this year and am paying £1200 on a 1.2, so Im not sure why people are getting such high premiums.
Basically, I've undone the bolts, and the seat is free to come out, other than the wiring. I unclipped it from the seat, but there's two wires still attached and I don't know what to do about them:
There was definitely around £200 difference between me having 11 months driving experience, and having a year. When I rung up admiral I had around a few weeks to go untill I had a full year, but when I rung up and I said asked about the price difference, he spoke to his supervisor, and then...
Just a quick photo, I picked up an alloy from James (jammygit) earlier in the week, and seeing as he was in his Trophy, I just wanted to get a photo of my car with a 'pedigree' Clio Sport as I'd never had one :) lol.
The plastic blanking plate thing you pop off, use a flat blade or something, then underneath there's a big nut (22mm I think) on the outside, undo that (well I did anyway) Then on the inside there's two bolts holding the motor to the inside bootlid, remove them and you can take the whole thing...
The difference between having 1 years 'driving experience' and 11 months 'driving experience' was about £200.
I was named with my mum on insurance with Quinn before, so obvioulsy didn't generate a years no claims, but the fact I'd had 'driving experience' affected it.
Also price drops...
On Admiral Im £1200, with me as main and my mum as named driver.
I'm 18 and thats with 0 no claims as well. Although the fact I'd had one years 'driving experience' pushed it down a bit.
The lights from the car behind must be blinding for the driver in front, being that bright and so close up his backside! I'd have thought it would be off putting lol
No Im not running it super low, It is quite low, but its not even on the lowest setting on the rear adjusters.
I'm going to take it fully off and check it over in a bit.
And because I got them second hand who do I contact?
FK spacers. Either from venom motorspost or FK direct. They're much cheaper from them direct but they are based in germany, whereas venom are uk. If you are getting system a you'll need Extended wheel bolts. You can get them from FK direct again or euro performance for a uk based supplier
I've got a power tec one just for the sound. But seeing as you've got a upgraded exhaust you don't really need one for the noise. The induction kit won't have any effect on the noise of your exhaust? You'll not notice any power gains on a 1.2.
Yea I've shoved a large socket bit in that rear exhaust hanger thing to push the tip down away from the bumper just for now. Yea I Spose it could be fibre glassed.
Argh Im so frustrated. I haven't had a chance to do anything to stop it yet, and I looked yesterday and the bumper's melted even worse :(.
And there's no way of fixing the bumper even when I do get the exhaust sorted, so I don't know what to do.
Help! My rear passenger side shock appears to be leaking, just looks really greasy :( Should I be worried? :
I checked the other side and its completely dry, so what does this mean if its greasy? My initial reaction is that the shocks gone, but its not a standard shock its a Vmaxx shock that...
This ^ The bottom of the grille all the tabs are attached to the grille, but the top on either corner you should have two little plastic trim screw things. The holes are pretty obvious if the screws things are missing.
If you've lost them just go down a scrappy, they're the same on all mk2 ph2...
I don't really think there's much need for uprated brakes on a non-sport.
Standard one's work fine for me. It's not like you zoom around in a 1.2 all the time is it so can't see the reason for extra super braking power! :)
No you can't get the connector that plugs into the rear light, well apart from a scrapyard. That's what I did & got a rear bulb holder from scrappy as well.
But yea if not just try removing the rust from the current bits.
