What I always find useful is a breaker bar, then slide a hollow pole over the end, like a bit of piping, to extend it. If you know you physics, the further away from the pivot you turn, the more force you can put in
I think I might go with:
I4D Uber Lime Clay Bar @ £6.90, then
Dodo Juice Born Slippy Clay Lube @ £6.90
£13.80 altogether (Before Discount). Unless there's a better alternative for the Lube?
And that bar is twice as big as the Meguiars Quik clay Kit one.
Yea I was looking at that, I guess its quite good value for two clay bars, plus lubricant, plus microfibre. but was just wondering if there was a kit with just the lubricant and clay bar, that people recommended more than the meguiars one.
I'd like to clay my car, but having never done it before, I'd quite like a complete kit to do it with.
I understand I need a clay bar and a product to use as a lubricant?
Has any one got any recommendations for a beginner.
I've already got plenty of microfibre cloths to wipe it down...
Ah Yea cheers. Not as expensive as I thought. I think Im gna go with the 30mm track widening FK (A centric) ones and get longer bolts.
Cheers for everyone's help.
Yea sorry, I mean the 26mm per axle, as in 13mm each side. I'm looking at the Hubcentric (System A Centric) FK ones.
So I'd need bolts that are Standard Length + 13mm extra I think. Cheers I'll have a look at Pro Tyre.
I'm thinking of buying the FK Wheel Spacers (30mm (A Centric)) off VenomMotorsport
Am I being stupid, but where do I get the extended bolts from!?
Edit: Title should be: Where do I get extended bolts? !
I think one of the most important things is whatever chemical cleaner you use, just make sure they get plenty of air for at least a day.
Maybe taking them out and cleaning them might be the best idea, so the air can get to them properly so they dry out and get rid of the smell.
If you don't...
Yea as above mate. Its just a Renault Megane Splitter.
I got it from a Scrapyard. Just find a Megane, and there's two types of splitter on Meganes, a smaller thin one and the bigger fat one I've got.
I just took it off the megane, payed about £5 for it, then went home and fitted it to my...
The pioneer one's are components, so come with the little tweeters for the dash, and as such the tweeters and woofers are designed to be put together, and as they use the existing wiring I don't think they come with external crossovers, so I don't think they'd be very good in the rear.
Might...
See wanted section :P
Yea I agree. Although in some of the photos I think the non sport grille looks good, with the horizontal style matching the lower grille.
Thankyou for your very nice comments :).
The months I spent looking through the cars on here wishing I could have a car even a little bit like some of the ones on here. Now I finally felt that maybe my car might be worth a thread I really appreciate your comments.
Not only is the thread a...
My Non Sport Clio Progress Thread
March 09
I got my car just over a year ago, when passing my driving test. As standard it was a Pearl Black Renault Clio Extreme 4 3dr. 1.2. The only thing non standard was the rear window tints:
I've always loved cars, so having the opportunity to 'modify'...
The first pic you put on this thread of the car looks amazing.
The first five door I've seen that doesn't look wrong. Lovely colour. Those sideskirts look huge!
Sounds absolutely awesome as well.
Yea obviously to get it completely perfect it would be a respray.
How much is it these days for a rear bumper respray?!
But I'd just like it so it looks fine apart from closer inspection.
Yea thats what I mean about sanding the whole area, coz there's a few deep scratches it looks like (the...
Pioneer do good Bluetooth ones with Ipod capabilitly.
I had a DEH-P70BT but they've updated a few times since that was new and had full ipod control and built in bluetooth with external mic and remote.
Just look for the ones with the 'BT' at the end of the product name.
I've been doing a bit of info finding on this as well.
People seem to recommend FK spacers. Below 10mm (each side) you won't be able to get Hubcentric, just flat ones, as the existing lip on the hub doesn't extrude enough.
With 10mm (5mm each side that is) ones you should be okay with standard...
Yea as above! H4 bulbs are the bulbs that are two filament, so have the dipped and main beam inside the same bulb rather than seperately like the Clio.
I'm thinking of buying a 172 Rear bumper. The only problem is the one in question has a few scratches on it:
http://i622.photobucket.com/albums/tt310/JamesWoods89/rear%20bumper/100_0423.jpg (sorry not my photo so can't embed?)
They look to have gone down to the primer (all the white marks...
-Full beam (the one you only flick on if its a really dark road and no one is oncoming) is H1 bulbs
-The dipped beam (normal night time driving) is H7 bulbs (Which Im guessing is your xenon ones)
-Sidelights (the smallest of the bulbs, in the same dish as the Full beam) are 501 bulbs
Well on...
My Vmaxx's came with camber bolts for the front, but I got them second hand so Don't know if they come as standard.
Setup for the rears is completely different so you can't get camber bolts for rears. Well Im pretty sure you can't.
Can't really help you with the spacers but im looking into...
