i wouldnt go down that low personally, pressure on cv joints not good
60mm will be a harsher/stiffer ride than what you have now, as for ground clearance/rubbing what wheels do you have?
right i work for vw matey and iv had alot of experience with both, i used to have a valver and tbh when rolling there wasnt much of a difference but my 172 is faster, if he gets on the gas first though i think he wont be far off from 30-about 70, then you should pass
there pretty good though...
lol bless him i bet he has a lifesize pic of Tiff Nidell on his wall
Now i would have believed him if it had gone something like:
the drving position is crap, the engines flop around like a c**k in a sock, and making sure you have good insurance is a good plan for when your exhaust rusts...
get someone who knows what there doing to check it matey,it could be one of a hundred common things and you could find yourself spending ££££££ and not fixing it, if your mate can get a fault code reader on it then do that see what fault comes up :)
there are four plugs mate, you have to remove the inlet manifold, so i assume your garage means the two inlet gaskets might get damaged, but if they are carefull you can replace them without damaging the gaskets
ok guys iv fitted my HID to my ph1 this morning but when i switch the light on they dont come on? there is a good earth and live at the ballast but still nothing?
any ideas?
if it feels the same mate then keep it! its no different than before, yeah some b*****d has been in it, but then again who owned it before you? how was it treated every time it was taken on a road test when in for a service? i would imagine probably quite hard! so stop worying and get driving ;)
how old are your shocks bud?
iv just fitted pro's with new std shocks and its alot better than standard, especially on b roads which seems the opposite to yours, have you had your wheel alighnment checked? i had mine done at work and its made a big difference
^^^^^personal opinion but as an ex vr6 owner i dissagree, my 172 is about the same up to 90 then my old vr would leather my clio, and that was the same result with other clio's i raced, until we got to a corner, even with avo coilovers my old golf didnt handle as well as my clio does even when...
its a beast lol, its a metior(sp) engine, which is basically a merlin aeroplane engine just without the supercharger, as i said above still makes 750 bhp and 1400 lbs ft torque lol its such a beast, he has so far 'only' taken it up to 140 mph, and that was reving at 1200 rpm and it redlines at...
my old vr6 with remap and a decent filter made 197 bhp, and timed 0-60 in 6.81 and 1/4 mile in 14.8@97mph and gps'd at 147mph, so if its std you will prob have him off the line, then it will be about the same till higher speeds
of and miles mean nowt on those engines if they have been looked...
