Most race series have rules to adhiere to, and one of them is usually a minimum ride heigt, so they do the best they can within the rules. The big chinky ones on the BTCC races are more there to allow the woder track and thus the wheels which stick out further to be covered, You net nasty low...

Low temp fan switch on 16v

yea, but the fan must be SO huge to cause that much of a drain! you can run oil too cool, but in most circumstances, when your driving, oil temps vary little one up, but water temps can vary quite rapidly. LOwer water temps and generally lower engine temps can help make a tiny bit of power...

Oil change outsourced due to fat hands!

Mobil 1 is around that price, and when you know what Castol is made of, youll think twice. Mobil 1, elf, esso etc are all true synthetics, built up from a molecular level. Castrol is not a true synthetic, its based and manifactuered on Very High Viscosity Improvers which give poor thermal...

Oil change outsourced due to fat hands!

I wouldnt bother to use semi synth, when fully is just so much better protection wise and has longer drain intervals, why bother.....its also not really expensive is it.

FAO R Sport ECU Upgrade Users

The ro tating assembly is not the best balanced but the worst culprit is the flywheel. My 172 has been running over a yr with an 8000rpm limit. It does get wheezy near there and there is slightly worse vibration, but nothing major. But youll never need to rev to 8K, the cam just doesnt make...

    Viper IK For 16v Yet

When i tested the viper on the 172 for the RS-R conversion it gave a peak gain of 6bhp and made the claimed 10BHP mid range for about 700rpm....... Best single bolt on you can get in my opinion. the benefit is just a reduction in inlet temps by about 50%, which is nice.

    BB De-Cat! How Good

i dont get it, you dont have to change your de cat back for the cat when you go for an MOT. As long as it meets teh emissions, even if it has no cat then its a pass. MOT tests have points to meet, having a cat is not one of them.
