Think I saw that somewhere on a DVD I bought from Amsterdam..... ;)
The rats seem a piece of p1ss on the PC version. I wonder if they are more difficult on the 360 version?

I think I'm one of those three people who's never played any Zelda games. Wasn't it called 'Links' years ago?
My m8 here has got that latest one on the GC - said it was awesome.

Scanners always have issue with print-servers - unless the NIC is inbuilt into the scanner itself. By far the best (as in, almost zero problems with print servers) are the HP JetDirect ones. Stupidly overpriced, but you should see some of the ones at work that are still working fine. Caked in...
Still using my Creative-badged Cambridge SoundWorks DTT3500 5.1 setup. Nearly £300 new, but I 'acquired' the full-box product for £70. Still producing top-quality audio over 4 years later....

Still got my Microsoft Sidewinder FF one - must be 6+ years old now. Not as 'fluid' as it used to be, but it's still great for GTR2. Probably not even worth scouring eBay for one - chances are that they will knackered! ;)

You sure can - unless you're BenR of course!
I think all that's missing from the SimBin games is a decent and accurate damage model. Whether this would make a massive impact in the games' performance, I don't know - but they've managed it on the likes of Colin McRae, TOCA Race Driver, etc. I...
Looks great, though dare I say it, I'd have the ride height increased a little if it was mine.
Must take plenty of practice to get the power down through those standard fronts, smoothly!
V.tidy though - he must be well proud of it!

Pulled up behind a Golf TDi with their ^^^^ sticker plastered all over the rear window, a couple of months back. Couldn't work out if the PSSSSSTTTTttttshhhhh noise made it look cool, or make it sound like the No.76 bus. :S

Seems to be the way most games are heading these days. I thought Battlefield 2142 was a steaming, post-curry night turd when I first played it on single player. Online opens up so much more gameplay - especially in terms of squad-based play, etc.

Yep - you get the privalege of speaking to Bombay/Hydrabad/Karachi offices of Microsoft's call centre in order to get a replacement key. Never had any trouble doing that - it's just a pain in the arse to do it.
Never understood why there's a free-phone number and a toll number option to call on...
That looks great - really, really great. I'm well impressed with that. :approve:
I hope Sony match the visuals with the mechanics of a half decent racer. I like GT4, but it's about as realistic as playing Out-Run - which is a bit much when they profess GT to be "The Real Driving Simulator". ;)

That's a total sh1tter..... :(
Tbh, if the same happened to me, I'd want it to be burnt out and trashed (ideally, with them in it). Rather that, than have it simply disappear and know that someone is driving around in my car that had been stolen.
Hope he manages to get the issue sorted out...
Well, it HAD to happen at some point, I guess. After two years of panel-damage free ownership, some tosspot has decided to open their car door - WALLOP - straight into the rear quarter of mine.
Probably someone with 86 bags of Christmas shopping or struggling to get their little brats strapped...
The original poster has a point. I haven't driven a 197 and I have absolutely zero intention of doing so. It may or may not be on par with previous version of the RS Clios, but the simple fact is that I wouldn't want to look at that thing sat outside my house.
It's the looks of the thing in...
I don't like the widescreen ones though! ;)
I've got so used to 1280x1024 for literally everything now, that widescreen would just look weird. I HATE the letterbox view on TVs and stuff.....

Cheers Griff.
I use a 17" TFT at work all day, but apps hardly push the monitor to its limit, so I've had little experience with them on games. I quite like the look of the ViewSonic VX922, but I really like Iiyama monitors, so I'm not sure!
D.
Right chaps. Being a CRT veteran, but increasingly being tempted to the TFT darkside, could anyone shed some light on 'real world' scenarios on TFT monitors with decent response times?
The ones I've been looking at typically have a response time of either 8 or 6ms - but I've seen some with...
Same here, wozzaa. Never had a problem with them and the stock levels tend to be very good.
As for memory, I've had Corsair, Crucial and currently run on OCZ DDR2-800 - again, with no probs.

I agree. But there seems to be a lot less 'randomness' within 2142 from what I've seen so far. You're right, the sniping is p1ss easy in 2142, which I don't actually think is a bad thing. I spent a good hour or two on both BF2 and BF2142 last weekend and while I did better points-wise on BF2...
I think it's just the volume of traffic that they get. I've never had quick response times to ea.com - regardless of where I've tried to access it from. Their forums are the worst - several thousand people probably being handled by a 486 PC. ;)
However, I've not had the total failure of the...
Joined the M66 this morning at a good 75mph and this bloke actually overtook me on this.....
Must have been freezing his nads off as when we stopped in traffic, he kept putting his hands on the engine housing! :D
