Dropped the engine and subframe out tonight and started cleaning the engine bay up ready to be rubbed down tomorrow for paint!
Have no pictures as iPhone is being a pain :(
Got the PAS pump and steering rack out, all in the bin. Also toyed with the idea of running new brake lines front to...
LOL at the responses. Only one box needs to be connected, which will be your main HD box, unless you want to use interactive or book films etc..
He can pair the new card with the Sky+ box first were it is then put the HD box in place and do the install on that. It'll save him the time of...
Well after a late start this morning due to a door strut failure on an Aston Martin, I didn't get started until 12!
Got all the sound deadening out, all the steering column and heaters out, the car is now very bare in side. Cage then got mount in the car were it should go ready for the box...
Went to see it this afternoon and half the sound deadening had been taken out already :D The joys of having a mate with a workshop and someone being bored! Good lads :D
Of course, I wouldn't spray over the sound deadening :rasp: It's coming out tomorrow night then getting prep'd for paint!
Once I'd opened the bonnet to check for a fire, it was small and right down the bottom, there is still air under the car IIRC. Then if I'd of closed it I'd of had to of...
Need to come see you Sarah, IOM trip definitely needed once done :D
Bonnet needs to stay until externally sprayed, and I've thought about somephpenix related stuff but can't think of anything!
As much info as possibly please. Wan't to get rid of these pipes all over the engine bay, but definitely think I need to keep the PAS as its f**king heavy without it!
Which models did it come with? Is it an easy fit? Pics?
Yea the bonnet does look good, it will be staying for a while like it I'd imagine, although I need some bonnet pins as its a little distorted lol!
Engine doesn't need to come out for the bay to be be sprayed. I's only going black all inside, won't be a concours job but it will be neat covering...
Well after a massive fail of sound deadening the other night this project took a big leap backwards/forwards (not decided yet lol). Sound deadening dropped onto very hot manifold and went up in flames :(

I will definitely have one in there in future, possibly a plumbed in one if funds allow :)
Got a great start on it tonight, plus a lot of extras are now being moved forward to now due to it being in a paint shop :) I'll get some of the photos from tonight up, 3 of us working for about 1 1/2...
it'll all be done soon :D
Not as straight forward as you'd think with charger on it! If mine has taken a big hit once I start tearing stuff away then it will be done :D
was close lol!
Year?!?!? Give it a month, MAX!
Mk1 is plan B ;) Its easy second time around!
Time went very slow watching it burn, so what felt like half hour it was about 5 minutes I reckon.
I've though about the bonnet thing after, but I wouldn't of known it was on fire other wise so kind of had...
Well there are a few little plans to bring it back better than ever. Definitely needs a respray sooner now, but coudl be tempted to drope the engine somewhere else, but I love the look of the Ph1!
Yea most people would be trying to put the flames out and probably just making it worse, just...
Were else would have fire extinguishers?! You can clearly see, as Daniel says, that I'm at the dealership next door and not on the forecourt.
Looked this afternoon list so far is

I did, if you've got a fire and no water and nothing around you just have to sit and wait :( Its only metal, not worth risking my life over it! Breathing te fumes in have fucked me for the day!
