I have been talking to a friend who runs the current 1st & 3rd position cliocup cars (i think) and we got ontot he new cup.
anyhow, he had one in and they were working on it when he saw that they had the same brake setup as the cliocup racers. Which means laguna front calipers on std shocks...
i cant get my GF off my back!!!
she wont let me sell my clio as its "hers" eventhough she didnt pay, isnt insured or even cleans it.....she in love with the seats!???!!
i have to make up some long winded reason about why she cant come to track days and race meets........then i dont get...
LOL......what a great thread.......its all personal of course......but hell, you like what you own right..LOL
anyway, since having owned both cars.....i thought the MK2 looked poo at first, but now i love the MK2 front end and teh mk does look a little dated......BUT WHY DIDNT THEY MAKE A...
True the mk2 TB is smaller hand has a profile to it where as the mk1 is more like a tin with the lid stuck in it. but ultimately i would take the mk1 Tb for its greater potential.......if we were tog o to work on the the head and get a decent amount of flow. BUT, i know you wil say this is hard...
if your just looking for pure speed, then yes.
different TB which is larger helps and one odd thing it noticed when dragging a MK1 in my MK2 was ratios.....i have no idea about these.
any way, my MK2 revs to 7750rpm max......his is the std limit, oh BTW, its HKs most power ful clio...
I like this.......indeed there are some very special drivers out there.
BUT, as joe rightly says, track raicing, although you average a much higer speed and get far closer and beyond the limits of your race car, its far safer than road driving. Which is why i say i poop myself, i mean, if...

dont really like the silver vents but the front makes the MK1 V6 look horribly dated and poor build.....
gorgeous........and expensive!!!
the factory want us to sell it for HK$400,000!!!
its about 12hk$ to the pound.
and teh cleanlyness of your pants.
oh, and one interesting point.
Capt, if you remember, we were talking about that weird solenoid in the airpipe that leads down to the front wheel arch. Anyhow, about 2 weeks alter they come to me to tell me it was a speed limiting device, i.e. you program...
WTF>>>>>>why do my pics never work!!!
anyhow, they are good cheap and reliable......
as for brake flud, you need no more than the dot 4.1 stuff......dont bother with 5 or 5.1 stuff for the road. the best i feel is castrol response super 4.1.........true its only fluid, buts...

A sh*t engine.......
mine did it all the time, so its in my garage on the bench........OUT OF MY CAR WHERE IT NO LONGER DOES IT>>LOL
i wouldnt let it bother you too much, if it holds the idle (just) and its just a low rpm thing........oh well....its an RT thing i guess.

just based it on tha fact that elia are pants unless you give them all your life savings and leave a band new car with them for a year......then youll have what you wanted.
we got an elia kit once and the fibreglass was fine, but the exhaust that went with it consisted of 2 90 deg...
cool.......and thats partly why i poo myself on the roads when my mate drives flat out.........you just dont know whats gonna happen.....there is no certainty at all.......and im running out of shorts.
everybody does it, claimpower from perfect conditions with a ever so slightly non std motor......nothing to worry about, as long as you feel its fast.....whats a few bhp gonna do.
OK, JUST SPOTTED THIS POST!
oops caps lock.
anyway, im afraid that there will be no positions available and if it was, you would be paid absolutely minutely......as in $5000 a month.......which you CANNOT live on at all.......but we have no positions.
i work there and i get paid nothing, i...
