as I said that was me borrowing knowledge from tradational cabinet speakers for home audio systems, and obviously theres more room there for too much sound deadening material.

you can over do sound deadening, not really sure how much is too much in a car enviroment tho as am borrowing from my knowledge hi-fi systems again

Dunno how many times I will have said this recentl. To attain the BEST sound quality, you want a set of high quality components ni the front amped, NO REARS AT ALL, and a a seperately amped sub, thats it! Dont touch 6x9s coz they are w**k!

if you want BEST sound quality you want NOTHING through the rears as this fecks up the sound stage.

tbh i think those 17's look too big, but can undertsnad them being liked for the big wheel look,but 18's would really be over the top

personally i think it will look w**k. They will fit, tho probably look silly only lowered 40mm. Would never go above 16's on a clio.

I think Akira's mk1 is mint, hence i want to buy it. Jay hunts valver is fantastic just coz he's kept it so original and in good nick. Really like saner's mk2 ph1 and carbon copy's ph1 172. Has' and Middo's mk2 ph2's.

On a 172 i would say inlet manifold matching, uprated pads, coilovers or if you dont want to goto expense of coilovers then eibach pro's. Best performance/pound tho is definately inlet matching

Definately going to give it some stick. Took out a 182 with this guy and he really doesnt care how hard I drive them. Cant wait!

mate sell the 182 system onto someone else, goto a decent custom exhaust place and get them to build you a 182 replica exhaust. Not only will it sound better, it will look better because you can have larger tail pipes and it will probably work out cheaper!!!
