Apex will make the ride harder and lower the car 40mm, but adjustable shocks and a matching spriong (eibach&koni) will give you a firmer ride if you set the koni's to the hardest setting. Best bet is to go for Coilovers with adjustable damping and have them set hard.
apex 40mm or coilovers with adjustable dampening so you can set them rock hard, or an in between would be eibach sportlines with koni special yellow shocks as they also have adjustable dampening.
If your after the best then its a choice of 3 IMO. Orbisound, Yozzasport or when it finally makes it to market, Angelworks. But if you only after a backbox then you wont be able to go for any of those so I would say just get a Magnex
ok with regards to mk2's the shape you have is a mk2 ph1, the newer shape is a mk2 ph2, so when people say ph2 rear they will mean the ph2 rear bumper and more than likely in this thread they will be refering to the ph2 172 rear
Bull s**t is that the best quote you could get! My insurance at 18 was 1300quid and that was 1 years no claims and 1 fault claim, and it wasnt that long ago i was 18!
you cant find a higher output alternator?? then the one on a 1.2?? You aint looking hard enough mate! Get yourself to a decent motorfactors and they will be able to sort you one out. Some of them even do them in pretty colours, lol.
in answer to your first question, i'm sure it could be done, but would cost a small fortune and not be worth it. Just buy a Bigger/better/more efficient alternator to replace your current one.
Your right about the cap, you dont want one because they do jack s**t.
You will want to consider...
dont get a 182 bumper because you'll need to have your spare wheel well cut out to be able to get an exhaust system to match upto the holes in the bumper
they dont get that cheap untill over 100k miles do they? I need something that will be reliable as I need a car for work. I know I'm pushing my luck but gotta try
Hiya guys, over the next week or so I will be getting my car up for sale properly, but am after some advice what to go for next. Including the money from sale of my car should be able to look upto about £3k. What would people recommend? Just been looking at Honda Civic CRX's but not sure...
Toasty definately get the front bumper, it looks ace. Get a ph2 172 rear bumper as i think its actually a btter match for the front then the one supplied, and get some 172 skirts or some zetec-s style skirts
I would imagine the cams would be a direct replacement, but why bother when there are better cams out there eg BenR's current and new designs and Shrick
best speaker cable to use in a car is QED Micro, available from any decent hi-fi specialist, is £1.75/m and perfect spec and size for use in car systems
