clipping doesnt contain more power, it just leaves maximum power on for longer. you can get an amp to go dc, but most amps will blow up before you get them to.
but its producing a clipped signal which is what damages speakers. Think about it, if the signal is clipped enough it will eventually go DC, the most impressive way to blow a speaker up :)
underpowering the speaker/over driving the amp are one and the same, just a different way of saying the same thing. You are trying to produce more volume with an amp that isnt capable to therefore underpowering the speakers/overpowering the amp.
I know there is, but what I meant was, other than on here or at CS meets, how often do you see a women driving a 182? Not very often, well not round by me anyway.
if she goes decat she'll need to change ot pver for MOT, so sports cat much less hassle.
If shes thinking about taking the back seats out she obviously DOESNT need them and it will save weight.
to answer the original question RMS is the power rating that the speakers/amp can play consistenly PMPO is basically thye point at which the speakers/amp will blow up. I've been in testing labs for an international company while they were doing these tests, and they did literally blow the...
open the boot, look directly under the grilles, theres some foam padding held in place by a black piece of rubber/plastic, this pulls out and then u can get to the back of the speaker.
Personally i would set it up like this
HU preout - Phoenix amp - subs
HU preout - SPLX AMP - 6x9s
Run 2 Good quality cables from battery to amps.
Upgrade alternator and cable from alternator to battery
Upgrade battery earth
dont run it 2ohm, you'll blow it up in no time. If you want to use that, bridge it and run it 2 channel. Though to be the honest the setup youjr running at the moment sounds like its better spec
Personally I would always run seperate monoblocks for amps or a 2 channel amp running one sub per channel, and a seperate 2 channel amp for the 6x9's. Tho thats probably due to my back ground in hifi. I would never put more than one speaker per channel tho, so best bet is a either what i said or...
