first of all, how much should I expect to pay for mk1 172 wings and front bumper, and whatever else i need to put them on my mk2 ph1? secondly will side sstrips off a 3door fit a 5door? I want to get some mk2 172 or 182 side strips as they are already painted.

aux belt is the alternator belt iirc, and mine has been done 3 times by my local garage (dont ask why 3 times, there is good reason but its a long story) and cam belt can be changed by your local garage aswell.

PYE21 what have you got against powerflow? I have never heard a bad thing against them untill you've started slagging them off. If you had actually read his post/read it properly, you would see he is getting it done at a discounted rate because of a problem he has had, for them to be selling...
i'd try and avoid claiming. ur excesses are probably £250-£500 anyway. i hit sum1 when was a new driver (driving under dads name as it was the car he was using for work at the time) when i came to get my policy it had icreased by about £150-£200 compared to what it was goin to be.
depends on the system, and the decat u get. in its possible that with too large a bore and a straight through decat, that you would have problems. if the system is right for the car in the 1st place a decat will only make the system less restrictive and increase performance.

can comment on costs, but do know that you are best getting an entire 5gtt as a donor car because of all the bits you'll need. something like a rear ended right off or equivalent.
from previous threadsd, i dont think its 7-8bhp. apparently they do give a noticeable gain, but not as good as a full decat. is a worthy addition if you are intending to do future mods
