sorry to hijack, but would this fit to the 1.6 8v lump? also would this be the ideal one or is there a different one people would recommend? How easy are they to fit if you have only a little mechanical knowledge?

Going to the dealer tomorrow to poss buy a 182.....

try bell, they are good for young drivers. Aldo try green light, they are very competitive for RS clio's as long as it isnt a cup

New exhaust and up goes the premium

£51!! bell have only charged me £14 for my eibach pro's and £14 for my spoiler. I asked about alloys and they said that would again only be £14! They wont be covered in the event of a claim though, only standard parts will be, but that is there policy on modifications, there arent many out there...

    Skimmed head?

i'm sure its been done, if not, the 1.6 8v engine is cheap as chips
  20. theduck

    Skimmed head?

1.6 bottom end with the right ecu/remap should take you to 90bhp (thats what the 1.6 has as standard) as for the 1.8 TB, i dont know, yet..

    Black 182 Stourbridge Ringroad

pretty sure it had tints, was driving past the bp
  22. theduck

    Skimmed head?

you can fit an RSi throttle body to the 1.4 engine, which gives a good gain. You can also use the 1.6 bottom end from an 8v megane or clio. IIRC you can get the 1.4 to 130bhp before putting the 1.6 bottom end on.

    My Humble Clio

sorry was talking bout my car - 1.6 8v but your right the 1.6 16v is 110bhp
  28. theduck

    Power steering rack

i would say yes, you'll need PAS pump and some other ancillaries to make the PAS work.
  29. theduck

    My Humble Clio

lol, if it was 100bhp then it would be quicker than 11seconds to 60. the 1.6 has 90bhp and i've timed with a gtech at 10seconds. but a 100bhp 1.2 with a chip and exhuast... yeah ok!

ok, lets ignore energized a minute and deal with the PERSONAL attacks against me. i dont have an indepth knowledge regarding tuning, i have never claimed to have one. the reason i 'only' have a 1.6 8v is that i refuse to pay more than a grand for insurance (i'm 20 so insurance is high), as i...
