Might pop down to see my painter this week and get a quote just for fun, needs a new bonnet, we might get away with just painting bits, but i think the entire car would need painting apart from the roof and boot lid to get the paint to match right, but saying that it does have lots of joins in...
Might've set the brakes on fire yesterday
needs new front tyres though, these 9 year old ones are cracked and i can see the cords, its a bit unstable at silly speed when cornering because of it
Luckily Michelin have started making the correct size again :D (shame about the price :()
Its French, its 100% normal, no one to blame, that spring will have been rusty for ages, you've just been unlucky, we do LOADS of springs for that same reason
na not needed, the engine HAS to have some movement, you'll just break stuff (as you already have) if you try to reduce its movement too much, we snapped all sorts on the cup cars, but they were abused engines etc, the rods fell out the bottom end most of the time LOL
yeah if you put an allen key into the tensioner it shouldn't go past the exhaust cam stud (and the marks line up), if it does you can get a random tap at idle
drop me an e-mail and i'll send you the report i've written showing what to look for etc
