Would a non genuine pump be ok or are they not up to much? Do you have to touch the cambelt/timing when changing it? I'd rather take it somewhere and have it done properly as I'm not that familiar with working on the 172.

I have a rather steady leak coming from what I think is the waterpump area on my ph2 172, so I need to get this sorted asap.
How difficult is this job to do at home?
How much should I be looking to pay to take it somewhere?
Is there a garage around Kent recommended for such a job...
Won't gain much with an off the shelf chip on them engines imo.
Is it running the Williams ecu at the moment?
There was the odd person about who could map that for you but I'm not sure you'll gain a hell of a lot on a standard engine, although raising the lower Williams limiter is always...
Had a good morning as usual at SRR, spoke to a few people who's names I have no idea on lol. Didn't take the 172 as it has a slight coolant leak so convinced my dad to run his S500/our towing car.
My brother watched a lot of Awesome Games Done Quick last week, it was really good and some serious skills on show, flew guys in from all over just to try and set new records, all for charity too.
