I'm in a similiar predicament, I'm after a similiar valued wax an I want something that just feels nice, durability isn't particularly an issue.
I was tempted to go over my budget as get BOS, but I'm now swaying towards Glasur. I love using carbon, whilst it's not that expensive, it produces...
You'll have no issues at all. Arch liner has worn slightly, but it's fine. It's only slightly catching, and you'll have no issues with it. It'll be fine for track.
I have just fitted these to mine, like kyle says. Normal driving it doesn't catch, but on full lock it catches on the bumper bracket.
I'm lowered on coilovers and non spaced.
Update time;
Safe to say this is by far the best the car has looked in the combined 5 years I've owned it. It's only had paintwork on the bonnet and front bumper to sort out stone chips. It looks bloody superb for an 11 year old car.
I've managed to get the front calipers painted again today...
Carbon - I love it. I've used more expensive waxes and for me, this is hands down better. I'm a sealant user in winter, but there is mother better than using a really nice wax.
I've got waxy box #16 on the way, so I will see what desire is like.
Where are you based?
I was unsure on where to use tripple, it's first time I've used it. In hindsight the little bit of cut will have taken away some of the other product.
Just doing other wheels as we speak. Painting calipers whilst I'm in there too.
Good morning,
Here's a few pictures from a part of the detail I did yesterday. I feel like the car is as clean as I've ever had it. Looks amazing, in my eyes.
I'm not completely finished yet, got trims, glass and two wheels / arches to finish. Which will be done this afternoon along with a...
Used these properly for the first time today, went to see my dad and took the B roads to see him, my god does it handle well now.
On the old Hankooks you'd get a vague feeling once it gets to it's limit, these just seem to dig in further and offer even more grip.
Car is crying out for an...
Do people paint calipers whilst on the car? If so, how do you not get paint on the pads??
I did mine with hammerite, but it just blistered when any excessive heat gets into the caliper.
Yeah, i think thats why i don't like it. I much prefer the feel of my other halfs 197 wheel.
Eventually we will sort it, im half tempted to make the pilgrimage down to FCS tbh.
Right, need people's thoughts on what to do with my car.
I have a dilemma. I have always run with rear seats in the car (never really have passengers in the back though).
The dilemma is; do I take the rear seats out and put a cage in or not.
In the past I have always maintained that I don't...
I don't find them too soft at all, I'm sure there are better set ups out there AST's etc.
I'd love to be able to adjust dampening - but I can't so I don't worry about it.
My clio isn't an all out track car, it's a compromise between fast road and track car and pretty car that gets detailed at...
Had quite a few bits and pieces done on this recently.
Had the compensator fitted about a week ago, thankfully the rear calipers were in good order and not seized. I kept the old discs and pads on, they seem to be clearing up a bit too.
I've also had my rear arb adjusted onto the stiffest...
Coilovers wise its on H&R's - never had an issue with them, handles REALLY well.
Completely agree, never been a fan of Skoda splitter doesn't look all that good. Ok, if your not a budget.
This is a Ktec Matt Carbon one, looks really good IMO, its a one piece splitter unlike the others which...
I had reasonable pace - there were a couple of imprezas which I was very similiar in terms of performance.
There was a Golf GTI mk6, which was very very similiar paced.
I drive to well within my limits compared to others, I love the car too much and prefer to take it home in one piece, so if...
Did a track day on Saturday at Cadwell. Second time I've been there. Took it reasonably steady in the morning, spent abit of time trying to learn lines and the car abit. In the afternoon I gathered quite a bit of pace and the car felt fantastic, felt really composed, but I found the weak link in...
