Gave it a full clean yesterday, all the arches washed out with pressure washer and the lips cleaned with a toothbrush. Got it up on ramps and did the whole underside with the pressure washer. Then it rained so only one picture, but its nice to know all the road salt from the winter is off it

Recently bled it or or changed the coolant? In my experience they like to settle a bit after a few drives, then you can top them up to the mark and it'll stay there

Its the stat. Mine did this, still had the higher limiter when warm yet a cooler reading the gauge. Fitted a new stat, get better mpg etc and it cured this issue - gauge stays bang on half. Worth flushing the coolant and filling new type D too at the time

Only noticed this happening recently, sometimes if I was wash the rear screen the rear wiper doesnt sweep and just stays in the parked position. Moving the switch about to the different positions doesnt kick it into life either, even popping it into reverse with the wiper switch at position 1...
