Re: ** So my clutch has just "gone" - HELP **
Yeah, I am massively tempted by the Rentech price, I'm not too scared of giving it a go myself... But for £375 I'm not sure if it's worth it...
I don't have ramps, but I've got a friend who was a mechanic for a couple of years who's willing to...
Re: ** So my clutch has just "gone" - HELP **
It's been far too long for you to even pipe up in here Ginge... let alone on your birthday!
I just want it sorted as I am really in love with the stupid little thing at the minute.. I don't really fancy a drive to Portsmouth, but it may well be the...
Re: ** So my clutch has just "gone" - HELP **
Quite sure.
I checked it visually earlier, and ontop of that - dogbone, top engine and top gearbox are all less than 8 months old.
Re: ** So my clutch has just "gone" - HELP **
No oil loss no nothing.
The car is 100% great bar this issue, it's been so good lately it's even surprised me.
The ONLY issues with the car:
Pulling away in first - juddering (this is lessened if pulling away faster (so must be clutch judder??))...
Re: ** So my clutch has just "gone" - HELP **
Thanks, but that wasn't my question...
Is it possible the cable is knackard and not the clutch??
It's not slipping mate, it's just juddering in first/on shift down.
I've just seen those new Rentech prices, they're pretty good, but I've also...
Re: So my clutch has just "gone" - HELP
Frikken amazing link, thank. you!!!
Need the help of someone in the know now, my clutch cable felt "notchy" on the drive home tonight, i.e when the car wasn't moving and I was just in neutral, the clutch pedal was going down in stages.
Clutch 100% dead...
As far as I was aware, the clutch is something that slowly wear's away... Buy today I went to get in my car, (which has been amazing lately) and it judders heavily as I pull away.
I didn't think much of it, but then it does it the next time I go to pull away, and then it turns out it does it...
The ph1 is the way forward (unbiased, honest).
Cable throttle etc, makes for a much better track car.
There's some PROPER cheap examples floating about at the moment, so grab a bargain and get building.
Oh, and welcome :)
Re: Project Ph-OneSevenTwo - Phase 2 Dash Update
Sarcastic fucker! It's ok, I know you're just jealous ;)
Cheers mate, can't wait to pick up the seats now, that finished the interior, then it's just the exterior left...
If it's going to be open like that, rather than returning to the induction elbow like it does as standard, best thing to do it buy a bit of silicone pipe and a motorcross filter to put on the end off of ebay.
Basically this all depends what length cat your ph1 has.
I believe I'm 100% correct in what I'm saying, but it's been a while since I've gone over it, so forgive me if I'm wrong....
The single lambda cat on the ph1 is a little shorter than the twin lambda version...
All ph2's had twin...
Now now, don't you two get your microfibres in a knot.... I think Kev was referring to being able to condition it.
P.s - Forearms, how does Thursday suit one?
I don't mind covering the one on the car mate so wouldn't need yours...
Yeah what you sent me was plenty, really appreciate it. I'm busy as hell doing college work at the moment, but when I get a chance I'll cover my buttons with it.
That's not too expensive really, I wouldn't need anywhere...
I've got fudge all idea what I'm looking for but nvm...
The seats are going soon and that's the only thing that's not perfect, I was just hoping to get the stuff or at least recommend it to whoever they're going to.
Kev/Forearms, what's good for getting colour back into an area that's taken some abuse? It's like a scuff...
I'm sure I saw someone mention some stuff, I don't mind if it's needs to be applied once every few months or something...
Looking good mate, cheers for the wrap btw :)
I want to wrap my rear wiper thing, similar to how you have, but I want to keep the wiper.
Where do you buy your wrap? I'll need more if I want to do all the bits I need to :) (wiper plate and the lock surround).
I'd say the car seems to be a good buy on the surface though, anyone that changes a cambelt at 16k must actually be a half intelligent human being, a good thing for a previous owner I think you'll agree.
