yep, there they are! they look kinda cool, only thing that puts me off now is the weight and the 6,5J width. wanted smth with 7j to be able to fit 205's if needed without the tyre looking awkward
forgot to mention, one other concern was heat build up when braking, the small holes in the rims theoretically aren't helping brake cooldown, so if anyone runs similar wheel design maybe they could give some feedback on heat performance.
As for the looks I know there's a personal opinion...
Hi,
Just found some 15" 6,5J renault 19 16v chamade alloys at a good price.
I am looking for some 15" alloys for my winter tyres and my future trackday tyres aswell.
They look like these:

(There's a blue non sport at mid page...
bumping this old thread.. Can't see any of the OP's photos, was curious about the firment under 15" f1's
And also (as I read all 7 pages but ended quite confused at the end) - after all is it possible to do a big brake upgrade -say 300mm discs and espace/scenic calipers- without machining parts...
Just went today and took both real caliper sliders apart, the right side was stuck, cleaned the sliders on both left and right calipers and applied TRW grease. Cleaned the pads and discs after, hope this will sort it
Is the hub hole issue easy to spot? no one saw anything so far :(
But I'll definitely have a closer look at this, thanks!
I can understand that solid mounts equals more sound but it's louder than expected though
they are all fine mate, as said, the car has been checked several times and nothing obvious was found except once- the caliper carier, but had that sorted and still the same.
There is no loud noise coming from somewhere, it's just that on rougher surfaces you can hear tiny knocks coming from...
Hi guys,
My 182 FF was always kinda noisy when it handled road bumps, even when completely stock.
Now I have gaz gha coilies, k tec solid mounts and arb poly bushes, dog bone and k tec engine mounts so everything's pretty tight.
I have the car cheched from underneath several times and only...
Hi there,
I know that removing the shims is a popular habbit around here, I also had them removed, we all know the reasons why.
But just watched a 30+ min vid on a mechanic's youtube channel in which he insisted that the shims if installed properly on nice an clean carriers, with grease used on...
Some guy is selling these and they are supposed to fit the clio MKII, but I never seen this kit from bilstein! you can see the front having some rebound adjustment!
The first time a guy who used to work at a renault dealer and had experience and the right tools, the second time a friend who has a garage but I did make sure he had the cam tools and also assisted him, looked like he did well. Both places outside UK so other details wouldn't help
Totally...
I went to a dyno test some time ago and the car came with 155 bhp @ the fly - which seemed rather poorly don't you think?
It pulls well ( as far as I can tell) and keeps up (if not slightly ahead) with a 197 which made 184 bhp on the same dyno.
The same day just before me another 182 did 151 bhp...
mine do the same on some of the wheels, can't remember if on the front or rear. Didn't bother to solve the problem although it annoys me :))
But I'd do it like this:
Firstly I would get some alloy ones - it seems better this way but I may be wrong?
Secondly the ones that stick to the hubs I...
if you'll encounter ice or snow I would definitely go for winter tyres. The difference in grip is MASSIVE, tried and tested
Not worth putting your safety at risk tbh
wheel size- I'd also say ET35 x 7J 15".
Tyre size: depends on which tyre really. Track orientated tyers sometimes are wider, for example my 595 rsr's are the std 182 size ie 205/45 r16 but they are visibly wider than the older michelins I had (also 205/45)
So the safest bet would be to run...
For trackdays only- I would polybush the whole car. Even the rear exhaust mount. Can't see a reason not to, even on a road car. I had on mine at some point the whole front end done (arb, lower wishbones, dogbone) plus the k-tec solid mounts. Some say the car will be noisier but I felt no...
I have the same dilemma. Would put some spacers on the front (max 10mm) but have to do more research to see hot it might affect handling.
But if you keep the std alloys which are ET45 then you probably be ok with no more than 10mm spacers front and rear. I have ET37 so my wheels basically are...
