Anyone have a phone number for any of the burpspeed guys???
I'm heading down for around 2/3 for the race (quali was too early)... hopefully I can find you guys. :)
Yeah I spoke to couzens before about it, I want to make mine a little more oem, but I'm looking forward to the challenge. No doubt I'll contact him again at some point though, cheers.
Yeah this has been a long time coming, about a year now, it'll be good to give it a go. Windows are easy. The...
Not difficult ;-)
Next weekend... Lol! I'm going to take a look at yours, hopefully it'll help me suss mine out ;-) winner!
Darren, good stuff, I still haven't seen you to give you that back, so far I have no idea, and won't do until I rip mine out next weekend and start playing with it.
Well I've gone and done it, bought a ph2 dash... Anyone that's carried out the conversion and wouldnt mind helping me with bits, please do.
I'm going to try and make this fully oem with everything working, so any help would be awesome.
My main concern is getting switches such as the door...
I think I'll be there tomorrow chaps, Dan, in the gap we can go for a drive around the wonders of kent... lol! (or you can take pretty pictures of my car for me).
It's the boss that normally comes with the screws, your steering wheel will have nothing you need in it (if it's a standard one).
They're only a tapered head small allen screw. I'm sure you can get some easy from tweeks or similar.
Fix the smell, get the engine running properly, then fart around with the body work. It's all about prioritising where you spend the money, it's the things that annoy you that you should sort out first they're the most important, you just don't see it whilst buying coilovers and green rim
You've done REALLY well there mate, looks absolutely brilliant with those side strips good work, spoiler will finish it off a treat. You got it all for a bloody good price too! Git!
You need less camber, doesn't even look like you've put the spacers on! LOL
How much were the spacers btw? And...
Looks a lot better, it just needs a fair bit of attention to detail now.
Get that paint properly polished up, get some sort of grille in that bottom hole in the front bumper, get some dual optics in there (the wiring is easy), and just tidy it up a bit really.
Wheels really suit it though...
Height wise, mine is pretty much aesthetic, remember to set the drivers side around 5-7mm higher than the passenger, don't go setting it up all dead even.
I'm not racing, so getting my car to look good, but still just about be able to make it over speed bumps etc was my aim.
Fully stiff on...
I have FK Silverline X's...
I run mine very low, about half stiffness on the front, about 2/3 on the rear...
My car is an everyday car but this setup suits me fine, sometimes for passengers the back is a little bumpy but meh.
With the following set up my car with:
Understeer on the limit...
Buying an old car scares me, I'd just want to make it properly cool...
How much have you spent messing with the Jason? More than the value of the car?
I know of a very nice old volvo going, tempted? Hell yeah.
