Williams was sucessful as the F2 cars were allowed to be so light. All the 4wd class where about 2/300 kg heavier. The 306 maxi was the most sucessfull in the Williams class.
Ultimately the complains about the weight differential (enforced min weight as the 4wd car could have been a lot...

Williams - What have a 1.8 head on if it lowers performance..? plus im sure it has some other mods..
Running in a staightline is more comparible to comparing on track (everyone can cane it through the gears)...lol

LOL please take drivers out of the equation... plus the car have different levels of mods. Just cause you pass someone then doesnt mean your car is faster. Passed GT3's round the Ring and many exotica on trackdays but it doesnt mean that its (172Cup) a faster car..

Trophy and 172cup in the same hands (both unmodified) would be quicker round the track than a Williams but not by much..a FF172 / 182 may be even closer. On paper is states a bigger margin but thats with racing drivers. I had a valver and williams 10 years ago and they were great but the 172 cup...
Didnt say they did...pricing comment are about general prices...
But as my comment stated K-tec sell H&R for the 172 cheaper. And they are usually very very expensive RRP + vat.
