pop off clutch plastic cover to reveal metal plate, pop off brake plastic cover to reveal metal plate, and leave the accelorator plastic one on as its just an L shaped bar.

its gonna look s**t either way. either diy it and it will look crap or take it to a bodyshop n have it done properly. it needs grinding out, no pissing about with rust remover. you leave it and it'll soon get worse
really does vary mate, most big bodyshops wouldnt weld bits of section in, theyde say it needed an entire sil, goto a small bodyshop and they might weld in little sections, filler it all, then instead of painting just do a heavy stone guard or gravitex to keep the cost down.

drop it 60 mil, i cant see the point in 35 mil myself, you want it to be visibly lowered n look right, 60 at least. infact, save your money n angle grind 3 coils off the standard springs and put them back on, it'll be fine, honest :)
cars was next to each other, the angle of the hub to the edge of the arch is gonna add maybe 2/3 mil tops, really is pretty much straight. front was 55 mil to standard, back was 80 mil to standard.

just get springs, its recommended that you change the dampers but you dont *have* to. more wear n tear will be put on the dampers but i reckon yours will be fine, have faith :P
