Ok then:
Top mounts - Check everything is tight and not worn
Balljoints - Jack up car, hold wheel at "quarter to three" and wobble. If there is play, it could do with changing, also take the wheel off and check the bolts that connect it to the arm are tight and the correct size (the bigger...
Nice job, where's the wheel from mate and how much? PM me if you don't want to say :)
One thing, as it'll annoy me forever... you need to remove your horn and put it back on straight, as it's not in line with the rest of the wheel. :)
Pedro, that sounds similar to my issue. (which turned out to be balloint)
I have a FULL list of possible causes if you want to check a hella lot of things...
I'm not sure how I preferred it tbh. Despite all the hate you got I quite liked it low as.
If anything I'd put the front up and bit and the back down a bit, so in the middle of where you are now, but nice and level.
I really like it personally, but seriously, the amount of people who ripped that kid for having is 1.2 well low, saying it looked broken etc, but it's ok for a higher poster to do it. Not cool.
It could be that the wrong size balljoints have been used.
Motor factors sell 10mm and 12mm versions for the 172.
The 10mm is too small and will move about under a lot of force.
You can check this by taking the wheel off and checking the size of the thread on the bottom balljoint screws...
Re: Possible new splitter found!!
Yes it does need cutting, around two inches from each end once fitted from the middle out.
Cut it with scissors mate, or if you haven't got a half decent pair of scissors garden snips do the job just fine (the sort of things you'd use to cut your roses with)...
Midnight purple, gentlemen's choice! Massively glad they're getting a refurb, the car will look so much better.
Tunnel run you say? I'm either riding beside (i.e falling behind in the clio) or beside (i.e in the passenger seat) ;)
Put the computer in your car? LOL! Is it a laptop or desktop?
I don't mind having a look at it, I should be able to find whatever it is, but no promises.
Mike, elaborate a bit?
BTW, your name isn't in bold, very weird?
Sounds possibly java related, but I may be wrong.
I can take a look if you want?
Oh, and speakers, whenever you want mate.
Welcome mate, this place is great for information, and if you ever get stuck, just post up, as it's pretty likely someone has had the same problem before.
Where abouts in SE London did you end up?? I'm more kent, sort of, ish?
You use metal filler for wheels mate, it's a real fucker to sand back, so don't use too much, whatever you do!
It's literally a case of sanding back the wheels until they are smooth, the harshness of the paper you use...
