Awesome, love how yours looks fresh as a daisy on top and like something from Winston's back garden underneath.
Oh to live it up like you mate....Maybe someday soon.
Wheels weights are something you may have knocked off then, which could put your wheels seriously out of balance, get to a tyre place and see if they need balancing (5£ a wheel on avg), or tracking is also a possibility. Check the wheel nuts first though, as it sounds quite likely its them...
I'm not looking great for this, my nan hasn't been very well and I need to go and see her, best time is Friday night and stay up there Saturday, and it's all the way in Luton.
What exact process did you use to raise the car? You said about the top mounts, did you loosen these off?
Bit more info and I can try to help more.
I've recently stripped my car down more times than I'd care to talk about, so hopefully I can be of some use.
Silly things but....
Done the wheel bolts up tight enough all around?
Spring seated properly on shock/top cap?
Knocked the wheels weights off by accident so wheels need rebalancing?
Did up everything you un-did to raise the car?
Need a flatmate?
(would mean by gf staying over and prancing around in underwear*)
*this may not happen
Oh and on topic, if you play next week or whatever I may venture down and have a crack if that's alright? Played a bit of fottie last night over the park and qutie enjoyed myself, so if...
I think I need to join failsport, get on the trackdays, the football, and the workshop availability ;)
Even if it increases the mileage I do horrendously!
Luke, JEALOUS! (Although my ex is down there, so not that jealous) lol!
They look bloody spiffing.
Think I'll be having the ktec ones.
As for your question, can you not wind it up any further? If not, and you've fitted everything correctly, then I see nothing wrong with it?
I had checked for play in the balljoint itself, but hadn't thought to check the bolts connecting it to the wishbone, the one I chnaged was all good, but that side, no no no!!
Cheers to everyone for all the help/suggestions
WOOOOOOOOO
So tonight when I got home I finally decided I'd had enough, got home from work and took apart the whole front end of the car, took out he front shocks and set up the top mounts (which were already correct, FFS) then I went about checking everything else....
After a quick inspection...
My point was for you mate, not against you, and nothing to do with insurance. Just making the point that it was obviously a very small incident and you used common sense in knowing the car was not damaged and carried on.
They're quite rare, but not overly popular. You have a choice of three other spoilers.... a standard sport spoiler, a cup spoiler and a trophy spoiler.
If you want to know what's what, I can sort pics.
I bloody love them, I've no idea why, but I do. Even though I freely admitt I know nothing about them.
Yours looks cracking
My friend has a blue one, stripped, fast as hell, is a probably on all the forums, alex his name is.
You should call your insurance every time you make any change to your car, do you?? This could in turn en-danger someones life somehow...
Sometimes, common sense prevails.
Why jon? I have no idea about the rules of the ring?
Looks like a good holiday, and it's nice to see someone with the "it's only a car" attitude.
At the end of the day if you went on a normal holiday and lost your wallet, you could still have a brilliant holiday, guess this is no different
