To start of with, making black wheels white, on a picture with that poor quality, unlikely, (i just tried and results were shocking) Making your car black was easy enough and smoothing off strips, i'll change it to blue too if you want, but those wheels, no chance.
What do you want me to post...
Car look amazing mate, there is a dark grey one near me and i stare at it every time i pass, think i'll have to own one at some point!!! Easy cars to work on?
I have a 1.2 and yes it was EXTREMELY difficult to get the battery out the first time, but it is do-able, the arrow on the back of the key shows which way to push that half, just find someone with strong fingers.
If that is a Mk2 Ph1 1.2 RN then its had some serious work, i have an RN and i can see the following changes...
Ph2 roof put on
Ph2 front end: wings/bumper/headlights/skirts
Ph2 full interior: dash/door cards/pedals/seats
Ph2 rear: bumper/bootlid/spoiler
And at a guess a full respray, god...
Finally a chance for orange side repeaters to tie in with a car!!!
Bit un-decided, colour code and i think it could be transformed! (if you can spray wheels you can spray bump strips!)
Thats crap about the wood blowing into it mate, if its gonna be a while until you paint laquer it then just wet flat it when you wanna do it with some 1200 grit or something, you can always wet flat and give one very light dusting of colour, then laquer.
Hey man, good to see some progress, colour looks great IMO, a really nice red, i've been messing with painting a friend's fiesta lately and when wet flatting after applying colour i've found it really dulls the colour down, but this paint was metallic, so hopefully you wont have the same...
Having been down a breakers today i can say if you find your car you'll be plesantly suprised. Manged to pick up a bonnet and bumper for £25 each, and a wing for £30 for my mates car (same as yours)
If you're willing to do the work yourself then it might not cost you much at all!
Sad to see...
Again?
Pics of what you've done so far could help a lot here...
What response are you getting when pressing the switch when you've got it plugged in?? None at all? Any noise? Anything at all?
Is it possible you are missing the fuse for the electric windows as you havent got them fitted as...
Black indeed, calipers can be done another colour if you really want, but highlighting the rear drums just looks ridiculous! (showing off our amazing 1.2 brakes is never a good idea)
The wing was just an example picture of someone elses car i got off here, i was working on a friend fiesta, lots more to do, but the bumper was finished last night and went really well, given me a lot of confidence to carry on perfecting my technique, soon i'll have a go on my car!!!
With the amount of time i'd take to get a really detailed paint job with a brush you could spend that time painstakingly masking up and then just spray it.
Easiest way to describe it would be just overspray by a little each time, allowing some of the new paint to go onto the old body work, and thinning it out slowly as it get further away from the area you have painted/touched up, creating a soft edge, and making a subtle transition from old to...
Depends how f**ked the bearing is tbh, mine wouldnt come out with 5 ton, had to go somewhere that had a 20ton irrc, but i had driven for a silly amount of time, and absolutely f**ked it.
Phone up and complain, say you have a consol or two (xbox and/or ps3) running in the same house, both users often download video trailers, demos etc, all which are normally a gig. Tell them if the service is not suitable for online gamers then this should be advertised, and you wish to be able...
My cambelt has gone on my clio once, when i first owned the car, the only other owners were my dad and my great uncle, (so the car was not ragged) at this point the mileage wasnt hight but it was an older car, just goes to show that the belts obviously die off over time without the miles being...
Thanks, although diagram is a little small/confusing it does make sense sorta???
Cheers for the previous advice, tonight i only masked up areas such as the bonnet etc and tried to blend it in properly, keyed slighlty more than the old painted section, i.e over the offending BLATANT lines, and...
From what i'd seen in littleC's thread it seemed possible to try and paint bits and then blend it in, being a s**t box i thought why not try it, and my friend is a poor student like me so trying to do it on a budget tbh.
This makes good sense now, although i just thought i'd make a right mess...
Its ok, we're not looking for a 100% perfect finish, its more of a learning experience, with just applying paint etc. The car is a real dog, it was once washed by someone with what was either wire wool, or a wire brush, and the whole bonnet/roof are f**ked.
I'll give the paper a go, and see how...
But what if i dont want to repaint the whole bumper? The lines are from where the masking tape was, so do i just flat these lines down, polish any marks out, and the laquer?
I've read enough to know how the process goes mate and what i've done so far seems ok, sanded down the area that was fooked, applied primer, wet flatted, repeated until blemishes were gone, applied nice layer of primer, flatted, left to harden, painted etc,
Now obviously there are distintive...
A mate has a banged up fiesta thats a real state and we've decided to learn how to paint on it and not worry about the mistakes.
Over the last few days we started on the front bumper, which had a load of paint chipped off one area, sanded it back, primered it, sanded it back and got it done...
Wow these are good, i never normally comment on any of the photography on here, just look, but these have really caught my eye! Would love a high res to have as my bkground!
I had some late night brain activity so i went and found an ok pic of BiohZrds car and took the wheels, its not the best shop i'm afraid, but gives you an idea.
Tried it for you, but one problem and one suggestion...
Picture of the wheels you want is quite tiny, trying to make it bigger totally kills the resolution and it makes it near impossible to then make black being such bad quality, so a bigger pic of a car on those wheels is necessary.
Also i'd...
