Surely the turbos in diesels are designed for lower RPM boost than that of a petrol? Not sure how that would affect it, but can't imagine it would be too good?

I have Eibach sportline springs on non-cup shocks, fine here - not sure how it is on a 172 though, may need to search for that :) No rubbing at all though - and I run Turinis. (not sure if that helps, but should do with the same offset etc).

205/45/16 gets my vote. I've got Hankook V12's and find them decent, a lot of people recommend Uniroyal Rainsport (or something).
