Well for a 1.6 she is pretty nifty yes. I don't boot her, just put my foot down abit once in a while. I dont want to rag her out. I did do abit of a test not long after I had run her in abit (around 3000 miles) and had her showing 125pmh on the clock. She was abit scarey and unstable though, but...
I was none too pleased. I rang up Admiral when I got home and complained. They agreed that someone who knew what they were doing should have been sent out, and then just said they would pass my complaint on.
Hmm 100 miles. I don't know anything about cats to be honest. I was just told not to...
Did you drive yours much when it fucked up? I have been told there is a risk of damaging the cat if you drive it too far. Mine only got driven 1/4 of a mile and limped her home.
Well I thought I would try the AA as it seems they carry some spares and would probably at least know what to do. Hubby said they were good when he had his pug too, so I'll try them.
They guy that came out to me made me drive my car up onto the truck and reverse it back off again when we got...
I'm going to switch to the AA next year as my recovery guy hadn't got a clue what was wrong with her. He didn't even know how to get the engine cover off. How bloody clever is that? Grrrr
That was lucky as the darn coils are £40 each, then you have to add labour , diagnostic plus VAT. Still, in a way I'm glad they went as she is now running better than ever and is really quiet. Think I will get a couple of spares though, just in case the other two decided to follow.
Yep sure was. Misfiring like a b**ch, shaking violently too. She sounded like a bloody tank. It cost me £165.00 to get it sorted out the same day. She now seems better than she ever was. Was a right bloody shock though being as she was fine when I last drove her.
Edit: The recovery bloke...
I've got an 03 1.6 16V dynamique+. It had always been abit lumpy on idle, would jump from about 500rpm to 700rpm and back down again. (bought from new by the way). It didn't seem to have any lack of power, although sometimes she could feel like she really couldn't be bothered. Due to the fact...
I have been driving for long time now but I still don't like driving in icey conditions. It doesn't matter how good a driver you are, you can still get caught out. I'm lucky because I don't work, so I don't have to go out if i don't want to, and believe me I try and avoid going out when the...
My new OZ wheels came with new wheel botls too. If they are new just double check that they still come with the wheel bolts as mine did. If not, as Martin said, just use your old ones.
I rang my insurance company about my Eibachs. All they said was if the suspension got damaged they would only replace it with the standard Renault suspension. I told them about all my other mods (even ones I hadn't done yet) and they charged me about £50 extra. The good bit was, I moved from my...
Renault dealers really piss me off. Once they have sold you a car they don't want anything more to do with you. Their job is done as far as they can see. Total tossers!
That looks really really nice., definitely abit of a head turner. Sounds like a bargain too. In my opinion you can never travel too far to get a good car. Good luck and enjoy your drive home. I bet you'll be smiling all the way.
well I don't know what it was like this morning as I was nicely tucked up in my bed, but when I came home at about 8pm tonight the car said it was 2 degrees. Our other two cars were misting up quite nicely and the little 1.2 wasn't over happy about starting. Bless her. It is definitely going to...
Well I think when the later models came out, the bits that they didn't originally have were then added as standard.
It's like when I got my V reg (1999) 1.4 8V RT Alize. It had a sunroof, air con and front fogs, which the 1.4 8V RT didn't have as standarad. Renault classed the 1.4 8V RT Alize...
Well I am not about to sit here and do a comparison between the two with a complete list of which had what as standard. Like I said, there will undoubtedly be dynamques that will have the same bits and bobs as my dynamique +, the reason being some of toys were optional extras on the dynamique...
When I decided to buy a 1.6 after my 1.4 got written off, Hubby and I looked at the differences between the two dynamiques. There were various toys that the dynamique didn't have that the dynamique + did have. For starters, as standard, the dynamique didn't have auto wipers, auto lights, heated...
Exactly. If you look up the spec for the 1.6 16V Dynamique against the dynamique +, you will find that the dynamique doesn't have some of the toys that the + has as standard. You may well have been able to add them as extras, but they wouldn't have come as standard. Absolitely no point in having...
The dynamique + has added extras that the dynamique doesn't have. Hence why it has the + after it. It means it has a few extra bits and bobs. I looked into all that before I decided to get the +. I wanted all of the toys, not just some of them. I'm greedy see. ;) lol
