I have never found a fast one yet.. the R32s are supposed to be fast but I have never found one of them yet..
All the GTis and TDis I have come up against lost.... badly...
err.. I have also done 145-146 in my 172 so why do 172 owners have to watch out ?
Are Cups supposed to have shorter gearing or somthing ?
oh and dash... err. ye but the 172 can errr.. fit 5 people in it.. err maybe .. if they are really small..
Neil - ye I am from edinburgh. In the corstophine area..
Cupsize, you say 6 seconds dead in right conditions.. I have done 0-60 in 6.7 with 2 people in the car and a half tank of fuel.
Make that one person and one notch of fuel and I reckon I would be down to 6.3-6.4 which I can kinda...
Also bought 2 Toyos from them, said 1-2 weeks to deliver.. delivered them in just under 1 week.
No problems at all.
ps. I got them fitted at an ATS garage £10 per wheel.
If I was going for new alloys I wouldnt go for the Cup ones.. no offense they are luvly for standard alloys but if I was buying a new set I would have a massive choice so the Cup ones wouldnt be the ones for me.
I dont want to get Superleggeras either cause they are to popular (yes I know for...
it really depends how much you want to spend.. you can get a cheapo one that just has a direction arrow type thing.. cant display anything complicated like a map.. just directions and roundabouts etc..
or you can go the whole hog which usually means HU with inbuilt screen and the navigation...
ye I dunno about having to switch it on everytime, but I think mine once went off after a while, its only when the key is turned once though.. not when the engine is on or the second turn IIRC
as mike said its probably got an option in the advaced menu.. like the speed adjusted volume levels.
Hmm, the mk2 deffo wieghs more than the mk1 hence as already stated the change in gearing etc.
Anyone know how much on 16" alloy of the mk2 wieghs ? some nice new light alloys should bring it down a bit.
Renault are correct when they say that 172s have to be serviced at 12,000 miles or 2 years which ever is sooner.. and yes you have a courtesy period of 1000 miles or 1 month to get it done
ye its a good idea because the arches will do absolutly squat in an accident as the are not a load bearing structure, and where never part of the crumple zone so why not switch them to plastic.. bumps will bounce back out and you are safe in the knowledge that you will never ever get rusty front...
So ben,
would you recommend as a first mod the viper ? cause after reading what you been saying it looks like the viper is the best start as the exhaust/head/cams etc are already good enough for small gains.
Scudetto.. not to worry.. mine also beeps when the passenger door opens and the ignition is off (I think) cause I remember thinking that a bit strange..
err.. in slippery conditions not having abs aint gonna help any better... abs will slow you down as quick as the conditions will allow while still retaining the ability for you to steer round the obsticale.
There are two things which affect braking
1) the level of grip between the tyre and...
the main one is yes.. but its the opensa distro.. cause its on a 2000 Server box.
http://www.opensa.orgwww.opensa.org
my college wasnt very happy with me running linux boxes (why ??? cause they dont understand it) so in the end I relented, I said fine I will run a 2000 server box but I...
how politically correct can you get.. just lay it on the line to him.. look you aint anywhere are near as cool as being an admin/chairman like me (jas) so just be happy and remember you place boy! ;)
sunstrips do have a purpose other than advertisment.. it stops the sun getting inbetween the rear view mirror and the visor.. damn i hate it when that happens.
how ? can you judge the exact level of grip over varying surfaces that you are driving on at the time of an accident ? and then apply the exact pressure to the brake pedal just before the tyres break traction, and steer to avoid an obsicle in oh I dunno say with .5 of a second thinking time ?
ABS can and in most cases in real life does mean a car equipped with ABS will stop quicker than one without.
Unless you are a highly experienced driver and know exactly the limit of the grip you are going to get from the present surface that you are driving on then chances are you are either...
