oh and LOL at your original mats.. hehe.. thats what mine are like.
oh cant wait till payday (2days time).. then my order goes in.. how long did they take to arrive again, ack either way they will be worth the wait.
3 mats.. the ones in the back are a one piece item as you can see in the pics, they look excellent though.
The logo is also larger than I expected, but I am still not sure if I like them better than I imagined them to be.
my brother-in-law used chips away when he scraped the front bumper.. about 4-5 big deep scrathes.
The repaired it taking about 3 hours to do the job but it was a very good job that they did, you couldnt tell that there had been any damage at all.. cost £130
Mine also has a paint defect.. the entire lot came off in one day, its due to go into renault to get fixed in april

Well I was recommended to go to halfords/Ripspeed to have them fitted.. they said that they wouldnt fit them for me .. only the tyres the sold.
I got mine fitted at an ATS garage in Edinburgh, next to PC world off the Glasgow Road.
£10 per tyre to fit.
No when I ordered it sayed
1-2 Weeks... I wasnt in a major rush so I ordered them, they seem to be much better than the contis in the dry (hasnt rained since I got them so havent tested)
One thing I did notice aswell is there is much less tramlining with the toyos .. which is strange.
Just had a look at the site.. guess I put my order in just in time. That site must get a huge amount of business, I think the toyos have gone down in price again awell.
What ever you do, dont stick a sport badge under the Renualt logo, I was driving about Edinburgh last weekend and I came accross a Renault Clio with aftermarket alloys, a sport badge that was stuck in the wrong place and to make things even worse it had a sunroof !!
I would have thought, nice...
it did before the toyo proxies.. as soon as it started spinning you would get wap wap wap wap... very annoying, and at first I was very concerned about the safety of the car.
I havent got round to looking at the engine mount as I have lost my radio code, and you have to remove the battery...
i think people get confused.. we are not saying they are any slower I think it is all in the mind.
When I first picked up my 172 i was shocked. I thought I had picked up a ferrari it felt that quick.
But nowadays I am used to the power. and I really need to go for a long blat along some B...
i will admit .. somedays my 172 feels slow, others it feel so faast..
either way all i need to do is jump in my mums mk1 1.2 and go for a spin.. when I get back into my 172 it puts a smile on my face..
imagine how I am gonna feel when I get back into my 172 after having my 3 day 1.2...
I too recently had problems with flaking paint (see thread titled paint chipping)
Took it into dealer .. they said it shouldnt be doing that.. book it in and get yourself a courtesy car..
its booked in for april
mat,
if you do a search there is loads of threads about this problem, a couple of people managed to find the soloution, although since I got my new toyo proxies (and it hasnt rained since) my car doesnt wheelspin anymore when flooring in 1st
