I have, its called my GF ...
I just have a  while shes doing it.. let her use warm water though so that her hands dont get too cold.. cause thats the nice kind of guy i am
I was supprised at how much grip the 172 pedals provide when your feet are wet. they are a deffinate improvement over rubber peddals, although the get dirty quickly and need cleaning with a wet cloth a lot.
I doubt you are loosing power, just getting used to it.
Yes I agree the clutch on the clio is quite light but I thought that was a bonus. A clutch engageing at the very top of its travel indicates that it is a new clutch, worn clutches tend to engage as soon as you lift the clutch pedal...
Rob,
The grille you bought its is the silver one pictured on the k-tec site yes ? I am gonna buy one if the quality and fitting is good.
Tell me what you think of it and how easy it was to fit.
Cheers bud.

Im still waiting for someone to develop a porche style spoiler that comes up at 40mph and above, would be kewl if the standard 172 spoiler tilted up when you got to 40mph and above..
*goes to find his magnifying glass*
aha, found it..
Sorry to hear about your misfortune bud, how the hell did a big rock just appear in the middle of the road ?
thing is my wheels spin in the dry too, without dumping the clutch, once it hit the magic mark (4-5K)..
Its only really on a dry day on a anti-skid surface that I can get all/most of the power down.
My car has still got the standard contis on them, maybe change to f1s
hehe, I went from a 1.0 micra to a 172...
I was scared shatless to put my foot down.. now after a month I am used to it and seeking more power.
before my micra I used to drive a 205 GTi so you can see how that was a bit of a step down.

Okay then maybe my problem is different from everyone elses,
My car ONLY starts banging when the wheels start spinnin.. If for example I floor it in first on a dry day on the greenways (which is like that anti-skid stuff) it will go right up to 7K without making the noise, its is only when the...
Best I could find, although the bump strips on the side of the mk1 have been painted.

I meant In comparison the the MK2, not evey car on the street. If the MK2 had not of been built I would have went for a MK1 as they are better looking than most of the other cars on the road.
But when I looked at a Mk1 and a Mk2 side by side there was no indecision for me.

Still gonna check engine mount, but what are the chances of uprated suspension (lowered/stiffend) sorting it out ?
oh and cheers for finding out what it meant for me :)
my GF mum drove into the garage door and almost ran over her hubbie at the time (who was in said garage)
And women think the reputation is undeserved ... tut tut..
