    Icemans Britcar Endurance project 182

Ask Matt at TDF how much the engine cost in the BTC Production Clio he looks after. Thats about 280bhp iirc but you have to sell a kidney

    Icemans Britcar Endurance project 182

Its about £4k to enter is it not? You wont get 250bhp for £7k unless boosted. 300bhp is going to cost £££££££ Good luck with it all

    PH1 Gearbox ratio options

ECU Remap on stock ecu isnt that expensive. Our limiter is 7600 iirc (different ecu and 200bhp) as Fred says 5th very rarely used. Brands, Anglesey, Mallory etc all very close to limiter in 4th gear at end of straight

    PH1 Gearbox ratio options

No idea what box is in an espace, let alone its ratios. a decent box is going to cost you £300-£400 anyway so im not sure its really worth doing, it wont make that much difference. If your box was broke then it'd be the way to go Just my opinion

    PH1 Gearbox ratio options

Its a road car so 5th is always going to be a bit lazy. A later box from a phase 2 172 or 172 cup has a lower final drive so will make a difference. We used a stock gearbox in our race car this year. We only needed 5th at Snetterton and then it was a little pointless. My old track car was a...

    Are winter tyres worth it?

Back box + water = steam engine?

In simple terms. Exhaust gases from incomplete combustion = CO + HC (Carbon monoxide + hydrocarbon). The cat turns it into CO2 and H2O (Carbon dioxide + water) The more miles a car does (long journies) the longer the exhaust will last in general. Some exhauts have a drain hole in the back box

Bomber's Reliable Savage Supercharged Snorting Slut of a Ph1

Re: Bomber's Awesome Ph1 Track Slut I suggested that to Matt after I made a right mess of the plug. He wasn't keen at the time. The crimp tool I was using just chewed them up. His tool (£150) worked fine, Lol. Dave is piggy backing the stock ecu so makes it easier for him Edit: I'll reply to...
