I think the issue you have with the phone is when you are getting close up, it is throwing it into macro mode, so distorting the lines of the car. You're also shooting the shaded side of the car, which then throws shadows all over the floor and detracts from the car. A buzy background can also...

Forgive me if I am wrong, but I don't think the gauge is supposed to sit at zero on idle, given you aren't creating any boost. Pretty sure it's supposed to be on vacuum at that point

I'd say it's a clutch issue. What mileage is the car on and any history of a prev clutch change? Maybe a stretched cable so not fully engaging?
