    Trophy any one ??

ClioTrophy.co.uk has a register and there's a thread devoted to the life and times of 075. Definitely worth checking out if you're interested. For me I'd want to cost up the price of buying replacement anthracite Turinis and front Sachs, plus getting the belts done by a specialist (not Renault...

Choices! Low mileage 172cup vs high mileage trophy?

The Cup is better known on the petrol forecourt. The amount of times people have asked if my red 182 is a Cup.

Choices! Low mileage 172cup vs high mileage trophy?

Trophy will be easier to sell than asking big money for a low mileage 12+ year old car. Buy on condition, not mileage. If they've both been looked after the same then maybe consider buying a 100k Cup and pocketing a few grand?

[May 10, 2015] Spring 2015 Wales Run - Blacks & Beacons (Black mountains / South wales)

Looks like a great turnout (who brought the articulated tanker??!), and it sounds like a cracking time was had by all. Well done to the organisers and fund-raisers, great effort. Looking forward to seeing the footage in due course.

Slight crunch going into 3rd gear at speed

My 60k Trophy sometimes refuses to go into third when down-shifting from fourth while driving 'enthusiastically'. Not mastered heel-and-toe yet (pedal still to be fitted) but always try and rev-match, and the odd occasion it doesn't slot home it really ruins the flow. Gearbox oil has been...

[May 10, 2015] Spring 2015 Wales Run - Blacks & Beacons (Black mountains / South wales)

Thanks Dan, I'll check those routes out in more detail. It's for a drive I'm planning with a few South Central friends. I say drive, it's an 800 mile / 3 day experience of Wales' finest blacktop :)

Can I ask for a bit of advice from local experts... What's the best one-way route from Builth Wells to Crickhowell? At the moment I've got: B4520 to Brecon A470 to Storey Arms A4059 to Hirwaun A4221 Inter-valley highway to Brynamman A4069 to Llandovery A40 to Brecon and beyond B4560 over...

    Poll: Which badge/s on 1*2

What about the other option? Retain the Clio badge but leave the other side clean? Personally I'm with Gally, it's so well-suited to the 1*2 in my opinion.

    trophy on ebay

Indeed it is. Pretty sure I read relatively recently that he was never selling it then soon after that he swapped it for a Twingo, and now the new owner is moving it on. Did Trophy #299's Trendlines end up in your car @Fletcher, before making their way into Dawn's Vee? It's a cheap, French...

    Tim's Trophy - #455

April 2015 The Trophy has put on very few miles since late last year, mainly owing to the outstanding performance of the 330i Touring, but now the sun is coming out it's time to get back in the Clio! Oh, and the fact that the BMW has been sold. It was an impulse buy - I already had the Clio...

Went out for a short blast in the Vee...

That's great to hear. I often wonder whether something as capable and comfortable as the BMW would render the more special but less practical car redundant. I'm glad it doesn't. Lovely car, lovely part of the world too, although I can't imagine a blast - the only time I visit it's just packed...
