Good effort, I half expected you to say 1,000 ;)
It's such a fantastic combination of practicality and brutal performance. A great looking (and sounding), uncommon car. Kudos.
There's a chap near Bicester Village by Oxford, that's an RS specialist.
There's also a chap in Newbury who I've heard good things about - another specialist.
This x1,000,000
It's hard to think of another car on the forum that has been mechanically modified to such a high standard with top quality parts, while retaining a near standard look. The perfect BG?
The gun on my Nilfisk E1*0 (G4 gun, I think) has just failed - water just shoots out from the trigger. Not used all that much in the last few years so I'm quite disappointed.
Anyone else experienced similar? Is the solution new o-rings or just buy a new gun for £30?
Congratulations!
I don't know about Rob's setup but I just bought a roll of car carpet on eBay, used a cardboard template and cut it to size. Cheap solution, fits perfectly and looks very clean.
Personally it's a Quaife for me, purely for the 'fit & forget' aspect. I appreciate Gripper now have a much longer period between servicing, but the Quaife fits my needs best.
I spent ages trawling Amazon for what I was looking for but with no joy - turns out I just wasn't using the right search terminology. 2 minutes on the Halfords site and I've found what I want, and Amazon does better and cheaper ones! Result.
Thanks chap
I'll be driving for up to 8 hours and I'd like to simultaneously use a sat nav (which charges via a plug directly into the cigarette lighter socket) and a dash cam (which is powered via USB, connected to an adapter, which plugs into the cigarette lighter socket).
Clearly with only one cigarette...
Looking good Euan, making some good progress with this.
So much so that MX5 ownership has intrigued me - what are the best forums for me to gen up on the variants etc?
At the end of the day you pay for insurance which covers losses such as this, and you pay taxes, which pays for the police force and criminal justice system.
For the majority of us crime is abhorent, but for the minority it's a way of life.
My eyes are playing tricks on me! I knew it wasn't a Trophy after I posted, but I never though it was inferno. To me it looked gold & black ;)
Nice car bud
Genuine question - does he really want the car back after it could have been red-lined for 5 miles? The thief could have taken drugs in it, had sex in it, bled in it, who knows what.
Wouldn't you just let the police find the car and criminals, and let the insurance company deal with the loss...
