Disconnect the fuel pump under the rear bench and start the car until it cuts out then repeat until it won't start. That'll depressurise the fuel rail and save you getting petrol everywhere.
Easy peasy job tbh.
My mates had 4 now (3xS13,S15) and i've had a shot in them all, so so wierd coming from the clio/megane to have the length. Just seems to float around the scenary when you drive! Dead strange, but blooming good fun motors! Was gutted when he shifted the 15 on :(.
I'm struggling to think of two more different "performance" cars tbh, depends what he's looking for doesn't it. A small french fwd hot hatch, or a meduim sized (with what feels like the longest bonnet in the history of man) very tunable rwd jap coupe.
Magnex 3.5 twin, looks s**t, fits s**t but sounds awesome! Only reason I forgave it, took a lot of faffing about to get it to fit properly.
Not relevant in the slightest but milltek'd and I never want to buy anthing that doesn't fit like this ever ever again. No messing just fits.
Yeh its all easy to get out, wheres getting wet? Check the skuttle drains for a start if its the front, wants to all come out anyway to get it properly dry so it won't smell tbh.
Eugh :dead:. Although in all seriousness the new ones are level with standards in my experience, and the dust doesn't eat the wheels like ds2500s do despite their awesomeness in the braking department.
Nope, just for the hassle of getting abs rings and bearings fitted to those. Bet it'll be close to the price for a set of genuine oem rears (£120~ iirc) and standard ferodo pads are pence from halfrauds.
Seeing as a clutch is very rarely a straightfoward job and especially not really on a 1*2 I wouldn't want a moron glourified tyre fitter going anywhere near it.
Not adjustable i'm afriad, on a mk2 its auto adjusted and the most you can do is reset the adjuster. On a Mk3 its hydraulic and the slave cylinder is internal of the box bellhousing so you get what you get i'm afriad.
Sound ace, fit s**t. That about sums the magnex up, got mine fitting spot on eventually but it took a looooooooot of fooking about with it. Forgave it for the noise. Got a milltek on the megane and never going back.
Pass, thats not a renault part number either. afaik all the renault ones that fit a fpr in them don't have the bleed off feed back to the other side of the rail either?
This is all opinion of what i'd do no doubt someone will correct me on this but i'd completely remove the driveshafts, drain and disconnect the pas lines from the rack and drain and disconnect (properly!) the a/c lines too unless you can unbolt the compressor and leave that with the car which...
