Just checked its Sagem S3000 management not the Siemens Sirius 34 like the 1*2. Didn't think it was the same, slightly more advanced I believe (or cheaper!).
Nope cat A and B shouldn't ever return to the read, only cat C and D can be repaired and cat c has to go through a vic check first before getting the log book back iirc.
Apex look the best but the ride is appaling and I don't know how anyone can say otherwise. It's like being dragged down a set of stairs on your face, biggest mistake I made tbh. Oh and the handling was probably worse than standard, same at very best.
Looked s**te hot though.
Just to go down another route, did you use the locking tools to change the cambelt? If not the timing is most probably out hence the rough running, if it were a coil they disconnecting the bad one wouldn't make a difference.
Its stolen recovered then and that will effect resale value down the line imo, i'd walk unless it was cheap enough to warrent the hassle which i'm guessing its not.
They do split sometimes so i'd hazard a guess this is whats happened, don't think they're too expensive to get new from renault but don't quote me on that.
Not too bad a job to change neither, wipers off and the skuttle and you're laughing.
As said it wants a new pair of rear shocks (they need to be replaced in pairs really) £50 a piece from a renault stealers and best to stick with oem stuff.
Be careful as shot rear dampers tend to make them very tail happy.
Cool, think i'll have to get out there sometime when the cars clean they all look a good backdrop for some pics especially walton hall. All not too far away neither.
The number is the distance the oil runs on a set incline at a set temp afaik? So the higher the number the further it runs so the thinner it is?
Unless i'm getting it the wrong way round again.
Yep, used them in my 1.2, 1.6 and 172 no problems at all, and as long as the headunit loom is configured right as to the ignition and permanent lives you'll have no problem with the memory.
It'll be a bit thinner generally but I can't see that being a problem with a track car tbh. Not like its going to need a lot of cold weather protection.

Those two definetly work.
Just says timing belt replaced? Not the dephaser and the belt will need doing again as it has to come off to change the pulley. Could get away with the tensioner and idlers if they were changed 4k ago and just do the two belts to save money.
