I second the corners like a 172 bit. I have more fun on the road in mine because you can just stamp on the throttle mid-turn and drive hard on the way out whereas in the clio you're always having to hold back a little.

My first drive of a 172 Cup, of any Renault ever in fact, was the long way home after it was delivered, brand spanking new, to me at my work. I did almost 200 miles that night just to cover the 35 miles home.

Have you looked at the B. Hague range? From memory they make just about any type of clamp/mount you can think of.

'Reduced Penalties' is an option under difficulty settings is it not? Don't know if 'No Penalties' is though. Edit: just realised you're talking Time Trials, so that rules out the above I'd have thought.

I agree, no aids is where I want to/will be, I'm just breaking myself in gently.

I'm running with everything except brake assist, using the 1st season to learn the lines, reference points etc. and it's far easier to do that without having to keep the equivalent of a bucking bronco pointing the right way. There's plenty of time through seasons 2-7 to start reducing the aids.

Just track it as is before you potentially spend/waste a bunch of notes. You have a good base at the moment, learn what it does, and how it does it. Until you do, you have no idea if anything you are planning to do is going to be worthwhile.

Agreed. Mine gets going enough to break traction in 2nd/3rd when it gets to 5k (in the wet only though).
