Pretty damn sure, most cliffords beep when they lock for example. My old cobra on the 1.6 used to beep as well, its user/installer selectable though obviously.

Thats the CAT1 criteria.
Not really, fuelling is mostly control by the air flow/pressure for example as air is denser when cold so the ecu needs to take account of this and inject more fuel, this is obviously completely independant of throttle position. The throttle position will be used to calculate engine load though...
Don't know how good that one specifically is but I had it done by renault under warrenty on my old 1.6 and it stopped it smelling for a good few months. It did/will come back though, the moisture that forms on the evapourator when you turn the a/c off causes mould to grow hence the smell.
I've...
Something strange is happening when your bleeding the system for sure, mine didn't fizz and bubble and had a constant stream of coolant coming up the return from the thermostat housing. The only major thing it did was the level drop like fvck when the thermostat opened and that happened very...
Pretty sure the front bumper moulding are different on a Ph3 (04>) so I don't think one from a Ph2 will fit. The edge pieces definetly are not 100% on the centre piece.
Nope making a noise has nothing to do with the CAT1 status of the alarm, you can turn it on/off on the earier alarms apparently but you need clip to do it so forget about it basically.
And it is an aftermarket alarm!
Don't try to take it out in one go, undo it until it gets tight then wind it in a few turns to drop the shite out of the thread. Then undo it again and rinse and repeat. It will come out but they'll be silly tight for the most part.
Only thing I can think of otherwise is has it taken the gear linkage out of alignment when it was shaking around after shearing the bolt? Are all the gears where they were before? It only takes a fractional movement (and I mean fractional) to make a big difference.
What as in the throttle input from the pedal?
An air leak shouldn't make it run lean as the engine uses MAP instead of MAF so it should sense the extra air in the same way as is does when you open the throttle.
For it to go to 2500rpm i'll put money on it being the brake servo vacuum pipe, the others aren't big enough. The a/v only takes it to about 1500rpm tops.

Tbh £44 isn't an expensive price, i'd just go for the proper renault ones. I doubt you'll get much cheaper, it isn't worth saving 2 quid for pattern parts imo.
If there isn't a unit clipped into the front grill on the light surround then it isn't there. Theres a very small fan in a tube with a little duct type thing to the grill. I'm guessing you can adjust the heater temperature from one setting?
I used to do mine once a week if it was lucky, well never have a black car again I don't think. Looked ace when it was shiney though.
bit of pic whoring :o
