There's no power loss if serviced properly (ignore the torque/fuelling lines, they're not comparable)...
Our Focus 1.6 has a really heavy flywheel, the rev decay or a downshift blip takes forever when changing gear.
I think it's been given it as the 1.6 Zetec isn't particularly torquey. In my opinion the heavier flywheel doesn't affect the torque output of the engine in any way, shape, or form...
I was glad I got mine back, and the plus point of getting it back, and not having to claim for it, is that I don't have a stolen vehicle recorded against my insurance history.

I don't get this much in my Cup, I think most of the local charvers have had a pop at some point or another and lost, badly.

I know Jay (Burp) had a problem with his 172 running approx. 134 ATW, but that was traced back to the cambelt being a tooth or so out.

No power steering, a tiny 300 mm polyurethane (plastic) steering wheel, and sweaty palms on track? I'd be a liability without gloves!
Seeing as I need them on track I wear them all the time on road too, that way the car never 'feels' different between road/track.
At least when mine was taken on 7 Jan this year, they broke in while we were out at work.
Luckily it was found the next day, 1/3 mile away.
All I had to do was change the locks...so it wasn't worth claiming on the insurance.
The reason they took mine was for a quick getaway to wherever...
Err, I was the one that was confused...in those videos the pads were PF97s...I was given them and told they were Carbon Lorraines...oops!

To answer the original question, if you need to use your car for an average amount of road miles, stick with Pagid...
There are no spring clips or shims to hold the pads in place in the calipers, they're a loose fit, clanking and rattling around in the caliper over every road bump.
Until they get hot that is, then they expand, fill the caliper, and stop clanking.
So while they're cold, and being use...
