Re: My Ph1 172 track sl*g Progress Thread
That's not mentioning heel and toe changes either. You downchange with varying pressure on the brake pedal, and with lines, a good fluid and a fresh bleed, no matter how hard you press you stay lined up for a quick blip.
Nothing at all to do with driving slowly, it's about planning ahead, and not going straight from throttle to brake.
I have seen almost 50mpg before...now that was slow!
Fuel costs isn't a problem...40 mpg is easily achieveable if you're smooth.
Reliability generally isn't a problem unless you're ham-fisted and abuse it...mine's turned over 100k miles now with no major failures and only recently has it needed a new clutch.
That's the one. Rest assured, the guys on the gate tend to know their s**t.
Great pics. I was go-karting myself...shame.
I'm going to get along to the ricer one though..

Definitely.
You know what your brakes are doing with consistant pedal feel and position, so you can get more out of them.
Should be first mod to the brakes IMO.
Nah, not going to do any detail like that...although I am thinking maybe the door mirrors.
I've got to paint over the brake dust on the my yellow rims for FCS anyway...so all wheels road and track will become yellow I think...may as well go the whole way.
