I disagree.
I could bed any set of pads onto any set of discs, regardless of wear in one track session.
The profiles won't match immediately, but on track, they'd break-in very quickly.
I was shocked tonight, braking moderately approaching a roundabout I could see what looked like diesel soot/smoke in the headlights of the car behind - I thought my engine might be f***ed or something.
Then after seeing it a couple more times I realised it's actually a big cloud of brake...
Any other Saturday in January and I'd have been able to come :(
GT circuit's a challenge, so many corners, real variety. I've only got one video of me around there up; here if that's any use? It was filmed by a guy in a Saxo following me chasing an Ultima - starts just after exiting the first...
Can't comment on the cleanliness. Mine only ever gets a clean once in a blue moon, so it always looks grotty.
Bite-wise, I can't say I noticed any change in the Blues depending on temperature.
That's outrageous!
My Cup when it used to commute regularly gave me 40 (now it's retired it's averaging 31) and I even get 25-28 out of my Omega.
Sounds like something's wrong somewhere?
I've only ever run Brembo HC after the OE discs expired.
Lots of abuse on track, running DS2500, Pagid Blue, and now Carbon Lorraine. Never had any warping over three sets of discs. Not heard of it as a recurring problem either.
As far as pads go;
DS2500 are good, little squeal, not really...
I've no idea on the internals of a gearbox, nor the problem you're describing.
What I do know, is that the change isn't helped by the gate being like this for third;
1 3 5

It's very easy to miss.
Using the 790 I posted as an example, do the above, and you can have both inputs running through the amp giving HDMI picture with full sound.
Sound down on the TV, turn the amp on, turn the V+/DVD on, adjust volume on the amp, enjoy.
That's what I've got with the 890.
Exactly.
This sounds condescending but isn't meant to; press the loud pedal less.
With only the front two wheels being driven, you've got far less traction available compared to 4WD, so there's not so much for you to use.
If you're wheelspinning, you are simpy asking the front tyres to do...
Brembo HC discs, Carbon Lorraine pads (which were cold).
Trouble with the pads is that unless they're hot already, you get a massive increase in brake effect 1-2 seconds after starting to brake once they heat up, so on my private airfield, it's tricky to get full on retardation going on...
100% correct.
The R-sport ECU gives me almost 8,000 rpm to play with.
1st into 2nd was a mess as I let the revs get away from me in first then clipped the limiter. The rest of the gearchanges are deliberately slow and unhurried.
In my defence it has done over 96,000 miles (still on the...
That's in daylight.
On the way home just now, the sparks were up around the wing mirrors when I gave the pedal a proper press.
She saw it at dusk, so 'halfway across the road' sounds about right.
:approve:
But I don't think the stripping has made the slightest difference LOL
Might be because I was on track tyres that I couldn't get any heat into - the revs flared in 1st and I clipped the limiter.
Disappointed with my 100-0 as well - I make it about 5 seconds dead.

I was out filiming 0-100 and 100-0 runs earlier today on my private airfield.
After one 100-0 some random woman in a Zafira pulls up behind me as I'm stopped fiddling with my camera and waiting for the runway to clear. The camera was still running as she got out and came up to my door and...
