clio 172 prob! clutch i think?

You won't know until you get the driveshaft out and have a look. If the circlip is still there then happy days, get the broken one out and get a new one. If its gone then you need to find it first. Which could mean splitting the box.

Diesel Engine Oil in a 172 what to do??

I'd be dropping it and changing for normal stuff plus a new filter, there a lot more additives in diesel oils for a start.

clio 172 prob! clutch i think?

Nope can happen to all JC5 boxes pre 182/very late 172 before they switched to the bolted diff retainer to get away from this problem. So can effect a very large number of cars, not just the Clio but can happen to a Williams/Ph1 172/Ph2 172/Lagunas/etc.

Gear Stick plastic bit under gaiter.

Wrong section! Erm renault but unsure on cost, i'm assuming you mean the centre console? Probably best off getting one from a scrappy.

Seats are average ;), nah as I said very very nice just a pitty about the price tag! Someone did a good job on riveting that footrest on I see. I've still got serious V6 fever! :dapprove:

How much would you value this at?

Check for similar cars on autotrader etc and get a price from there, remember mods don't add value. £4800 is a bit steep I think, you can get 1.6's with less miles for that. First thing i'd do is strip it back to standard you'll get rid of it much easier like that, and whilst it does look nice...

    172 Gearbox Oil....what type & how much?

They recommend tranself trx 75w80, last time I range a stealers they tried to tell me it was the wrong one despite me having the renault manual in front of me with it in black and white. Theres a variety of oils avaliable from opie oils etc, I like castrol stuff seems to work well in the...

No you can get -40mm and -60mm apex springs. Eibach do -35mm (sportlines) or -20mm~ (pro-kit).

    Gearbox

Short answer they don't exist. Not renault ones anyway.

    172 Gearbox Oil....what type & how much?

75w80 and 3.1 litres. Drain plug is on the bottom of the box and ideally you want a new copper washer to make sure it doesn't leak, i've not changed a few before an they don't tend to leak but for the sake of 20p i'd get one. Fill/Level plug is on the front of the box and will be great fun.

Pic Request (Underside Of 2001 Clio 1.4 16v)

Quite possibly, especially with age as they perish like fook. Shouldn't be anything expensive if your doing it yourself, middle mount is £7, rear is £20.

    Fusion Set-up, any thoughts?

Xplod lol! Vibe stuff doesn't tend to be too bad.

The new family bus, MG ZT-T

Who makes the engine in these? These got the BMW lump in them? Looks alright, looks like you get plenty for your money but I couldn't get over the fact your driving a rover 75 with a bodykit.

    Clutch biting point

I've owned 3 and driven loads, they've always been the same. High and very narrow bite point, a pretty on/off clutch tbh.

Yah! and a big up for National Tyres

Its a lot easier with the guard off and changing every 10k isn't that special when the service interval is 12k. I do mine every 5k and it comes out dirty enough after that imo!
