Yes it is, i've seen mine do it a few time. Its definetly based off coolant temp as there's no oil temp sender on the engine and that page is from the renault manual so its the gospel (or should be it is renault lol).
I do have doubts over the accuracy of the coolant temp gauge and the temp the...
Original leaking I imagine? You can get to them from behind if you remove the arch liner apparently instead of removing the front bumper to do it. Yet to try it but it does look like you can get to it.
Nope, they work on coolant temp. Once the coolant is up to 75c the VVT is enabled and the higher limiter is set. I've seen mine have the coolant temp gauge in its normal position and been driving it for 15 mins and the low limiter will stilll cut in, the over rev warning light will come in...
Will probably want 5mm spacers on the back. And they look far better with 15mm all round. The trouble is they're ET48.5 whereas standard dynamique wheels are ET37.
Has the car actually been repaired since? If you've just given him £120 then do you know he hasn't just spend the 120 notes and not had the car repaired?
You can fit them yourself, i've done a few and its not hard if your not bothered about the cat 1 rating. But the fact your asking these questions probably means its best to get it fitted, they're not hard but is it time consuming to do a good job and you will struggle with the first one you do.
Cover off is easy, the fact its the top bearing shells for the cams make it very hard. Forget it unless the engine is sams timing belt and you know how to retime the cams to the crank again.
Nope iirc, just at the base of the stalk facing you from the seat. Might be hidden by the wheel so you might need to move it until you can get in there.
Oh yeah sorry, yes they are. Got an individual 10A and 15A for both side. Then the indicators and sidelights are on different fuses again just for the giggle.
