    MPG for a 1.2 16v?

    Mine was abysmal before I got rid, not going by the trip comp actually working it out I got 35mpg at best! I get more from my 172 ffs, although I imagine something may have been wrong with it (might have been me!).

    Its a big fat grey area really, when you apply it as peperami says then no you shouldn't need to declare them and tbh its exactly the same thing. I know I don't think i'd bother telling them about the cup packs, has anyone actually had a bump and had problems with it?

    You'll do well to get rid of it. Plastic cam cover and they let moisure in, no biggy yet to see one that doesn't do it.

    K-Tec ScanGauge

    Cool I suppose, I just hope it updates quicker than my OBDII interface for the laptop does. Most of the functions would be pretty f**king useless if it doesn't.

    Gearbox of ClioII

    1.4 16v uses the JB1 box whereas the 1.6 16v uses the JB3 box, obviously better torque rating on the JB3 box. If/how long the JB1 would last pass, in relation to the ratio difference it isn't worth doing.

    Which one you had replaced? It'll most likely be either the dogbone mount or the upper gearbox mount under the battery, both aren't very expensive.

    As i've said above its been on clip thursday and nothing and i'd bet money its not the CTS, i've seen them shot before and its doesn't behave like this.

    I could be that then, but usally in the Clio when the temp sensor is shot the temp gauge on the dash will float all over the shop and it'll start running rough not just idling high. That and as it stands all is well, hence why its a very strange fault.

    My old one came with the top mount rubbers, never noticed they were different. It should have them afaik.

    Nothing amazing, I prefer the proper analogue fuel and temp guages too. They're fitted in Ph3> so pretty much anything 04 onwards and some 53 plates.

    Letting your fuel run down too low?

    Fuel light should come on when theres 1 gallon left in the tank or so. The accuracy of the tank float varies from car to car though in my experience.

    Its strange because I changed the throttle body 6 weeks ago with the same fault and it went away after that. Then suddenly its back again was fine in the morning and fooked in the afternoon.

    Temp gauge is steady thought it might be that initially but the temp gauge operates as normal. Connections seem fine, have waggleded them around and can't get revs to change or any response. Has has got a spare throttle pedal i'm going to try later on tonight if that makes no difference then...

    They sound about right price wise, sounds about what I payed for parts. Was a fun job too! Yes the cam/crankshaft locking tools are requied for the K4J/K4M.

    The k-tec cf one looks loads better too imo. As for stone chips i've had mine on 6 months now and haven't had a problem with them.

    Changing rear discs and pads on 172 cup?

    Officially yes but I haven't bothered. It still locks on pretty tight anyway, i'd think about a new one after its been on/off several times.
