See my post above. You are saying that the weight under the wheel of a car depends on if it has a scale beneath it or not - which is obviously not correct.

That doesn't make sense. Think about it... There are 4 scales, 1 under each wheel, each saying (for arguments sake) 250 kgs - so total weight equals 1,000 kgs. That works according to your theory. Now imagine 3 of them are not scales, but platforms exactly the same height as the scale. Does...

If that's the case, why do these work? This is what I was replicating, but I only had the one scale, so I had to move that around one wheel at a time. I've tried the weighbridge thing, but my Cup doesn't weigh 1,240 kgs.

I'm looking at getting one pallet that's big enough for me to drive my Cup onto. That'll do Tom, that'll do.

If you look you'll see I did actually have the car level all the time I was weighing. I started off using pallets under each wheel, but they were too big to get under each wheel so I substituted stacking card to the same height as the weighing pallet truck. Take stack of card out, put scales...

Exactly. It will lower the C of G so it's benefits will be far greater than just the reduced mass.

Ignore the fading. That's not a problem. You've got no pedal pressure? The pedal is going right to the floor? If that's so, you have no brakes.

Actually they're not too bad during normal driving. On my commute they're silent, I barely use the brakes and the pads and the discs don't really bite together with light pressure. Once I do a few stops though, they're in. They work fine, but respond very well to heating. High speed, firm...

Correct, pause, recover. There's always the slightest of pauses, and as soon as you feel that you've got to get the lock back off quickly. Doing it too slowly or too late means it goes the other way.

You can do it at any speed...speed is irrelevant. It's all in the weight transfer, pitch it in on the brakes and it'll be hanging in the breeze.
