Well it'll be pulling 8.33A on a 10A fused circuit, you should be ok but consider a normal 55w bulb will only be pulling 4.58A and its not designed to use 100w bulbs.
Depends on the safety factor in the gauge of the wire used, which knowing renault won't be a lot. I don't think i'd be 100%...
Which ones? dip or main?
As in DC circuits P=V*I so I=P/V and 100/12=8.33A, as the dip beams are rated 15A and the mains 10A you should be ok electrically.
Yep, they don't like abuse and won't last long if they are abused. You could strip the box and repair it probably but the cost of a new box will be cheaper i'd imagine unless its something very trivial and you can do it yourself.
Headlamp aiming setting and new set of front springs shouldn't cost too much, but if its rusting around the subframe mount then thats a serious structural problem. Which is strange seeing as Mk2s don't tend to suffer from rot.
Any chance of some pics of the effected area?
^ and no-one does! They usually accept either 12v or ground, just splice it into the ground on the iso lead for the headunit, not the car.
And obviously you won't be watching videos whilst driving! ;).
The fogs are H11 though!

Those would be the best bet for white "xenon" style bulbs. Tempted to try some myself.
Is ungodly loud and I wouldn't want the gasses to be venting on the underside of the body for any great period of time. No longer than I had anyway.
Will echo the magnex comment, well made and sounds great, fits f**king shite!!! (yes i'm currently having problems with it knocking and i'm fully...
Unless you have it on paper I wouldn't believe your ok with it as far as I could throw the fat b**ch on the other end of the phone. Especially after they seem to have told joel something completely different! I've always been charged extra for uprated brakes.
No I understand exactly what you mean and I don't think you'll be able to chop enough off a 172 exhaust to fit to a 182 cat/fanimold in a million years.
Look at the difference in length between a 172 decat and the 182 link pipe.

Looking at the link pipe/cat k-tec sell and actually seeing a 182 manifold i'd say its a lot more than that! More like 4-6".
Complete custom exhaust might be the easiest/cheapest option, than if a 182 cat will fit a 172.
Nope, want one though! CAT wise your pretty stuck at having to fork out for a k-tec sports cat, get one made somewhere else, or get friendly with a MOT tester who won't worry about the emmissions.
Or (and not really an option), refit the 172 setup every MOT time.
You can see how short the link pipe/cat has to be here:

Think i'd rather go for the decat but it'll cause problems come MOT time unless you can find a "friendly" garage.
Yep its a 200cell cat on a 182 and it won't directly fit, as iirc its too long to mate directly to a 172 exhaust system. Hence why you need a link pipe or sports cat making up.
And after proding around under mine this afternoon fitting will be fun!
Top find though! very jealous.
